I'm an independent. MGTOW has little to do with your political affiliation. Some may try to spin it that way, and many who are MGTOW do side more with the right, but that's circumstantial, not a requirement.

Short answer is "yes". You don't need anyone's permission to believe whatever you want. That being said, your definition of liberal might not be what you actually think it is. I won't preach to you about any political viewpoints. I will only encourage you to keep learning, observing, listening, questioning, etc. The political/philosophical box you place yourself in just might change over the years.

I refuse to acknowledge the contemporary Americanization of the term. The American left is such a coddled and delusional disaster right now that I wouldn't want to tarnish the word 'dogshit' through association.

I am a liberal in the classical sense. I'd be libertarian, but I don't think the average person currently has the capacity to handle the requisite level of personal responsibility that it would take to create a libertarian society. I think a true libertarian would say that we need to simply remove the dead hand of the state and people would step up to make things work, which is a dangerously delusional fantasy in my opinion.

I consider myself to be politically independent. I think there are good ideas on both sides of the isle. However, I think both major parties are corrupt and pander to women (since women are the majority of voters). MGTOW is a philosophy and does not have a political affiliation. Don’t let anyone convince you otherwise.

I lean towards liberalism, but everything has gone batshit crazy. If pressed, I'll identify as a "moderate libertarian". But I suspect many liberal men are thinking of going MGTOW, especially now how easy it is to be lynched by a wronged feminist. Al Franken, Julian Assange, Bill Cinton etc. are all examples of liberal men being sacrificed on the altar of feminism.

I'm pretty much centre-left here and did vote for a left-wing party in this year's general election. Most of the left here is still reasonably old-fashioned trade union types (think social conservatives but on the left) and American "liberal" ideas haven't permeated wider society beyond the microcosms of universities.

But I agree with what others have said here in that you can be whatever you want in terms of political affiliation, or not have one, and still be MGTOW.
