What are your honest (use throwaway if needed) opinions on homosexuality?

I don't care, but I generally don't appreciate gay culture being flaunted in the public sphere. Also, they don't bother me and I don't bother them.

I'm a bit torn.

On the one hand there's a lot of things about the gay culture I don't like. The gay pride parades where so many people are acting like degenerates comes to mind.

On the other hand, I get why they do it. When gay people come out there's always the group of people that says "Why do they have to make such a big deal about coming out? XXX didn't get on national TV and tell everyone they were straight. Why is it different for gay people?"

The answer to that is because it is different for gay people. Take Ellen Page for example. If she didn't come out publicly she would have had two choices. She can either not be seen in public with whoever she's dating or she can accept the fact that a paparazzi will eventually see her with a woman, take pictures, and the story will be in the papers anyway.

If people were less concerned about what other people do in their lives then I don't think the gays would feel the need to be quite as flamboyant.

On homosexuality itself? I don't care for it or against it. It doesn't affect me so...I really just don't care.

The "gay pride" movement annoys me, and the flamboyance of the more feminine gay men is annoying as well. It's very brash, forced, and obnoxious.

Don't really care. I prefer to go out with gay men, since they are not my competition and can pull a group real easy. Lesbians are my enemy, we are competing over the same snatch and they don't play fair. But in the end I don't care.

Its fine, no problem with it. The only basis for our collective identity (as a gender) is our biology. Being gay does not mean always being un-masculine, its just that in our society today it is seen so, the Spartans would be regarded as very masculine by today's standards, but very few people know they practised homosexuality frequently.

It is weird that lots of gay men feel like they cannot identify with traditional male masculinity and become camp, you can be gay and masculine. But at the end of the day it is their choice and none of my business or your business for that matter.

I believe sexuality and sexual preference to be a spectrum, with our perceptions of which being largely shaped by our culture. I feel nothing for people of any sexuality. If people wish to be defined by their sexuality then I'll avoid them usually, as they tend to be either immature and new to sex, or just assholes. That goes for straight, bi, gay or asexual.

I live next to West Hollywood. So I will only base this on my experience with that collective of gay men. Which can really be categorized as a unique subtype of the larger gay community.

Drugs Degeneracy Unhappiness

That's what I see in these people. Drug use is rampant. Anything from weed to prescription pills to heroin. That's why there's so many diseases associated with these people.

Degeneracy. The potential mate count of most heterosexual men is soft-capped by the amount of effort it takes to have sex with a different girl each day. Homosexual men have no such cap. They can have sex with a different person everyday of the year if they so truly desired. Between this and the drug use, you're looking at a lot of people with very self-destructive and unhealthy habits.

Also, predation is a huge problem. Much older men going after young ( under 18 ) teenagers, legitimate date rape, and so much more. It doesn't help that when it comes to pedophilia, homosexual men are very much overrepresented statistically. Every man wants to fuck the hot 18-20 year old right? Well, for homosexuals, we are their hot 20 year olds. It's a big thing to fuck a straight guy in the gay community, and some, even if it's just an insidious and odious minority, aren't above breaking the law to do that. I've been so aggressively pursued before I had to threaten to flay them alive with my Tom Brown Tracker Knife and play the sound recording of their screams to their family before they let off.

Unhappiness. Behind all the glitter, rainbows, bright colors, and promiscuity, I see misery and unhappiness. These people would rather be anyone else but themselves. That's why they seek haven in recreational drug use and rampant sex, I believe.

Other than that, i've worked with gay men that were normal, honorable, all around good dudes. They just liked getting fucked in the ass a lot.

Pro:

Homosexuality exists in animals as well and is not a choice, these people shouldn't be ridiculed or shamed, and gay marriage should be legal
Many of the world's most famous cultures had many gay men as leaders i.e. Greco Roman ancient cultures.
Gays in my experience tend to be reasonably good people

Con:

Some people believe gay parents destroy the healthy mother and father family structure.
Since men are extremely sexual and gay men have that x2, the amount of sex they have indiscriminately is disgusting, degenerate behavior a large amount of the time. This is part of why they spread HIV so darn easily
HELLO BRIGADE, It's such a surprise that this comment would magically gain 13 downvotes since being linked, interesting. Now, let's check if everything I said is correct and I just harmed your hamster feels. Firstly: Gay men make up around 4% of the population and account for 78% of HIV infections. They spread HIV a ton compared to any other group. This is a fact, not a feeling. I'm sorry if the truth is 'homophobic' but it doesn't really matter. To whoever said that 'TRPers are always having just the right amount of sex', you make a fair point actually, a lot of people think they can draw a magical line in the sand. I view their behavior as degenerate because it is a ridiculous health risk and because of the disgusting nature of behavior I've witnessed at gay pride parades and such.
