Why did we start saying women are more in tune with their emotions? Males are the only ones that show actual emotions like loyalty, respect, love etc ????????

I think we've mistook the fact that women show bigger displays of emotion for the idea that they feel their emotions more deeply than men do .

A woman will tell you she'll burn the house down if you leave her and also tell you she loves you more than she can stand . She flips from emotion to emotion so easily it can't possibly be that deep .

A mans rage though? I know when I am enraged I feel it in my core, in my heart, if I'm really upset I can almost feel it squeezing the air out of my lungs. I don't get mad often but when I feel it I feel it deeply , much like I feel sadness... much like I feel happiness or contentment .

We don't voice our emotions quite as much but I'd be men feel our emotions much more deeply than women do .

The only people who have shown kindness and compassion was always men, all I ever experienced from a woman is constant bitching, a condescending attitude, backstabbing, fakeness, coldness and fake love.

Psych professor pushed me into aiming higher on my long term goals.

My bio psych/group psych professor helped me break out of my shell and become more in tune with my masculinity which I didn’t learn due to not having a father.

My English professor let me turn in an essay late due to me not showing up on the due date because of my awesome scheduling skills.

My boss always gives me advice on life and pushed me to keep going to school as well as giving me the days I want to fit my school schedule.

I think a lot of that has to do with myths.

A lot of myths has the "faithful, loving wife" or "rescuing a damsel and living happily ever after". People blindly attribute this to "reflecting the culture of the time", but its possible that it could simply reflect what people WANT instead of what merely IS. Look at the movies of today, specifically how it relates to women. Lots of glorification of women over men in that they are stronger, smarter, more morally righteous and are always right. Movies are made this way because this is what the public wants to see. If movies portrayed women realistically, nobody would want to watch it because it hits too close to home.

I imagine things were exactly the same back then as it is now. You can read countless personal testimonies of men bemoaning their wives and their lack of virtue dating back thousands of years to ancient Egypt and and Mesopotamia. Yet, what manages to stand the test of time? Wishful thinking and fantasy.

Respect is not an emotion, u need to rationally judge a man if he is worth your respect, love is a different emotion for men and women, loyalty is also determined by proving ones worth, logically determining if a man is loyal to you or not. So i don't think respect and loyalty apply.

At the point in time when that belief was propagated, it was probably very accurate. However, females have changed throughout the years since then. Social media permeating the public conscience has further pushed females away from that initial belief and they show no signs collectively of returning to that initial belief.

Brotherhood is an actual thing that's lived up to its name. We can shit-talk each other yet still enjoy a beer with that person, wear matching clothes (even share clothes lol), help each other out without expecting anything in return and lots more. Something I realized 15 years ago, I used to be called 'emotionally unavailable' by many women for years, so I read about what that meant....and come to find out it was 100% of the women that (edit) said that to me (/edit) were, by definition, emotionally unavailable. It's just a reflection of their issues onto the man so they can then degrade themselves but use someone else as the target instead of themselves.

From a lot of research (married to a true narc for 8 years) it's that a lot of the women that say these cookie-cutter statements have a low or no emotional IQ, and if anything are running off of a basic child-like instinct of emotions.

Not a big deal, just learn to identify it quickly and learn to move on just as quickly. This will never be solved.

Here's some amateurish neurology. The part of the brain responsible for emotions is called the amygdala. It's shaped like an almond and there's one in each hemisphere. Women are more "in tune" with their emotions, the neurological explanation goes, because they process emotions more on the left side of their brain, where language centers are located. That's why women can *talk* about their emotions, also why they cling more to negative emotions and consequently have a lot more anxiety and depression. Men, on the other hand, process emotions on the right side, more removed from the language/speech centers and closer to the motor cortex. Now here's the kicker: men, on average, have larger amygdalae. The amygdala is also responsible for risk evaluation. Have you ever noticed how women are unable to choose what to eat and stand in the food aisle for a long time while you just go and take what you want? That's the amygdala. Same with loud noises and reacting fast to threats. Feminists advocating for men becoming more emotional have no clue what they're talking about. Emotions control women, men are in control of their emotions. Emotional expressiveness is not the same thing as feeling deeply. This was confirmed by a recent study that showed emotive images to people and found that women reacted to negative emotions, while men were able to react to both positive and negative emotions. In conclusion, women are in tune with their negative emotions; hence all the nagging, bitching, complaining, outbursts and actions they regret. Men, on the other hand, can feel true joy in life. In terms of emotional life, men are truly blessed.

Women are the embodiment of what men and women hate in men. Whereas men are expected to exercise discipline and restraint(not the mention the constant struggles of light vs dark in media), women are free to do as they please. Meaning they NEVER develop emotional control.

They understand the social/emotional landscape well enough to manipulate it. They are overly emotional in an unstable way. And we had to give them something. The suck compared to men at everything that can be objectively measured, so they were thrown a subjective bone to parade around with. Sad really.

All the great writers, artists, song writers, poets. etc, etc....have been men. We feel our emotions more strongly and deeply and understand ourselves more.

A few years back, when I noticed men=pickup trucks, I also realized women had claimed the finer human qualities/emotions, and left men with the heavy negatives to haul around in their cuck truck. Now whenever I see that low level mythic manipulation I reject their reality and substitute my own, with grace, beauty and compassion of course.
