Sounds like she is promoting and marketing her industry in the same way others of her kind promote and market Sentsy (sp?), Essential Oils, Marykay etc.

My guess is that she’s not looking at you as a potential ‘sale’ for herself but wants to keep feeding the system that she has benefited so much from for other females in her fucked up pyramid scheme/MLM.

I too have an “Aunt K” and she’s been married and divorced 5 times (YES 5 TIMES), her last marriage lasted 2 weeks (YES 2 WEEKS). My dad didn’t even bother going to her last wedding because he said it’s a waste of time and won’t last long, sure enough lmao. She too was married to a great guy for nearly 8 years (her third husband) and then she ditched him because he had a health issue...he was a great uncle too, really cool. And now I never see him.

You want to hear something strange that I've noticed with distant family, the types of people that you only see at family events every 5 years or so?

When I was a kid or teenager, all of them were nice to me. They also all seemed mature, thoughtful, and intelligent. I don't think that I thought of any of them as having any negative sides to their personalities.

Years later, I have seen some of these same distant relatives as adults, and, a couple of times, I've gotten some weird comments from them. One of them made a cheap remark to my face that could be interpreted as being related to me being MGTOW. I was really surprised to see that come from her, because she was always nice to me before.

Without getting into any details that would identify her, other relatives have said things about her, basically saying that she's made some really bad decisions over several years.

It's almost like she's jealous, but I've never tried to offend her in any way. It's the weirdest thing to see older relatives and discover that they are just people too, and not these near-perfect adults that one remembers from years ago.

Another older relative apparently got overly offended just by some really mild talk about society from me at a family gathering. She made a comment that could be interpreted as a really personal insult to me -- I didn't even understand what she was talking about until I thought about it later. Maybe I'm wrong on this one, but the more I think about it, the more it seems like a really major insult.

That relative has always gotten along well with my side of the family -- never heard any negative comments from her about me before. It's the weirdest thing.

Again, I wonder if it's jealousy. I guess I just don't understand jealousy. I enjoy the good things that I've gotten out of life, but I've never used those things to try to push myself as better than anyone else. Again, it's the weirdest thing seeing these types of emotions out of relatives that I viewed as mature, near-perfect adults when I was a kid.
