The only people that use the term unborn child to describe a fetus are people that want to give it humanity before it is born.

They would be correct in that case since a heartbeat is present (3 weeks) well before the fetal stage (8 weeks). If anything you are trying to remove the human factor to suit your needs, it is in fact a human. Chromosomes from both the mother and father are present after fertilization, the fetal stage is where the underdeveloped organs start to fully develop. What would you call it? A clump of cells? We are all clumps of cells, if that is the argument I could perform a very late term abortion on you and call it moral.
