Same for me. Her complete lack of interest and total unwillingness to even try for my sake eventually killed my own desire. She was livid when she realized that and suddenly tried to initiate and lure me back. It was too late by then. She had squandered all of my desire for by that point and was left only with my contempt.

Experienced similar. A previous girlfriend went crazy when I turned down sex twice in a row. I was no longer interested in sex as much as I was interested in respect.
I've already told the current girl I've been seeing "I'd be okay with less sex." I have a high sex drive, but I've been wanting sleep, and she's been wanting constant attention/validation.

Yeah i told the ex from day 1(while dating) that I don't do friendships with exes. She saw it as her being kind, getting along with her exes...I'm the who doesn't bring any baggage to future dating. And honestly I dont have the time for "friends" with women who just want attention. .

Because once she knew you were OK with it, she could feel her control one you slipping away. You'd either find another woman who would show you interest or stop financially supporting her and focus on yourself. In all fairness to her she was financially self sufficient and very frugal, so that wasn't an issue. I'm not even sure if it was about control either. I think the relationship was dying and she'd lost interest. Apparently she'd never stopped to consider that I might feel the same way. We had an argument and she implied that I had been asking for sex when I hadn't been. I responded by telling her that I wasn't always up for it either. She flipped the fuck out and later that day decided that we needed to have a "serious talk."
