Anon Internet already exists. It is called Freenet. It's a p2p system where everyone connected shares encrypted data that has been uploaded by other users. As a user, you have no control of what that data is. This means the data cannot be cesored by anyone without taking the entire network down.

The internet existed before these huge centralized distribution platforms - in fact, it doesn't depend on it, specially when hosting and bandwidth is really cheap now. If Youtube, Facebook, and Twitter want to close their platforms and basically turn them into echo chambers, I have no problem with that - in fact, it will just accelerate their demise.
Where there's demand, quickly supply will rise to fulfill it.

It began with demonetization of videos deemed "offensive", now they're just straight up suppressing discussions and visibility of that content. Sooner or later it will be made illegal.
If you think this will stop at Youtube, you're wrong. In Europe you can literally be arrested for offending someone with an idea. In Canada, there is a law that prohibits "communication of hate messages" (and we all know how easy it is to deem anything "offensive" as a "hate message").
Freedom of speech is on the chopping block here in the U.S., and these major monopoly internet companies are leading the charge in killing it.
It may be an exaggeration to say "youtube censorship is the end of western civilization", but it does represents a precedent that will inevitably change the country for the worse.

Freedom of expression has nothing to do with being able to use Youtube. Equating both actually cheapens the fight for freedom of expression.

And you know why people didn't care about that? Because most video creators are greedy whores. They double, even triple dipped their users with shit like Patreon, Paypal, Amazon Wishlists, all while getting ad revenue from Youtube. I was demonetizing these assholes way before Youtube thought about that, with NoScript and Adblock.

Funny. Before Youtube became the cancer that it is today, people used to write about their ideas on blogs and websites. Hell, you still can do it. But I guess it's easier to turn on the webcam and start blabbering about with poor audio and video quality to get those precious shekels.
If you think this will stop at Youtube, you're wrong. In Europe you can literally be arrested for offending someone with an idea.
And what's new about that? Europe was always like that. During the pre-WW I, it was illegal to be anti-nationalist; during WW I, it was illegal to not be supportive of the war efforts; after WW II, it was illegal to be fascist or nazi, and after the fall of Communism, some countries are making it illegal to be a communist. The Western Europe countries started the "Free Europe" meme as a counterpoint to the USSR, but it was never completely true, since these countries always had some sort of hate speech law.

Kids coming out of the public education system (another socialist/communist concept) are not given the basic tools for rational thinking. Giving the PhDs, at local junior colleges, the opportinity to stuff their own collectivist ideologies into the kids head's. I literally had a Philosophy professor, at my local college, extolling the virtues of Communism to us in class, during a World Religons course. Bragging about his Dissertation on Communism that earned him a degree! The youth come out believing everyone else's resources belong to them, through the State.
Bernie Sanders would never have made it as far as he did had it not been for the mindset of younger generations who got on tv and argued that they deserved freebies, including (ironically) free college. He was openly Socialist. Now, that's not really new in the US, socialist parties have been around. However, they may have not been as far ahead as he was. So why did his movement gather more steam than past groups? Could it have been the dramatic mindset changes in generations? Maybe.
I'm not an avid fan of Stephan Molyneux, but his discussion of Cultural Marxism in Univerities is worth a gander.

This is retarded. Since the beginning of business, it is common practice for social commentary to be about private entities. I have the right to make comments about private citizens and businesses and that people do so is also important. How in the fuck could people be expected to vote with their dollars if our values are only being represented in the places where they absolutely have to be? Target has no requirement to allow guns inside their stores, as they are privately owned, HOWEVER, that they don't leaves something to be said over whether or not they share constitutional values with other Americans, and that is something that absolutely needs to be discussed.
This limited vision I'm describing is all overlooking the fact that Google is a serious crony of the government. They're absolutely in bed with many bureaucrats. They put globalists in office, then act on behalf of globalism privately, so that they are really controlling both sides but since they're technically private they get to move around the constitution. That's fine. That's their right. I'm just saying it's fucked up and it's time for some consumer and citizen action against them, Amazon & the rest of the tech-left.
