You are right, which is strange.
Wikipedia has about a dozen studies on falseness of rape allegations; the highest is 90% (!!!!) but three others report around 45%.
It is NOT rare, and #metoo is mostly lies and exaggerations.

I recently talked with my feminist step-mother and the topic of Bill Cosby/Jian Ghomeshi/Harvey Weinstein came up. I mentioned that the #MeToo movement is dangerous because believing allegations before due process can be perfect scenario for false rape claims.
My step-mother said she didn't care if "a few men" were accused in error and that its collateral damage for the greater good.
I was completely blown away. Women don't care about you, they never will. How can any person believe that sending an innocent man to prison is better than letting a guilty man go free.
What concerns me more is that she was so willing to throw out the statistics above. I said that about 45-60% of rape claims turn out to be untrue and she completely dismissed the it stating that 100% of women deal with sexual assault at some point in their lives.
There is no help for this world, check out of it gentlemen. GO YOUR OWN WAY.

I tend to instantly distrust anyone who tells me to "just believe" - if you had genuine evidence you wouldn't need to tell me that because you could present the evidence and I could make up my own mind. Well in reality they are both true. The 100% false allegation (never had sex, completely made up) is actually quite rare. What you tend to get are women that regret their choices, and it's much easier to view the world as a victim. Many of the times you have a guy who is in the grey zone for boundaries who is strongly pressuring her to have sex, and she eventually gives in, and wakes up the next day feeling that because she wouldn't have made this decision while sober, it was rape. This is the story, and it's difficult to disprove since there will be DNA evidence. In Canada, we are changing our laws so it essentially allows the crown access to the D's evidence, which will completely destroy the sanctity of the criminal justice system. It's getting scary.

I would check out /r/dashcam for some cheap but effective one. Personally, look no further than this beast It's got dual camera - front and rear, decent night vision and my personal favorite, it has a swivel so incase you get pulled over, you can move it to face your window. Double check with your recording laws with law enforcement.

Karma has several layers and meanings in Buddhism. The surface layer is "cause and effect", but the deep meaning is actually what happens in the mind, as in Buddhism everything happens in the mind.
Basically according to Buddhism, an unenlightened person has 10 fetters (poisons) in their mind they need to remove. These "poisons" increase the odds of you doing something bad, when you do these bad things you will forever remember them even if you try to suppress them, these 'memories' get stored as tension points in your body which leads to disease, stress, etc..
So basically the 10 fetters are the roots of a weed that are in your mind, they then lead to bad outcomes, which then get stored in your body as stress, and eventually manifest as disease.
If you do vipassana meditation you are basically starting to remove these roots out of your body and mind, and it is crazy how many suppressed memories start to surface, and tension points in your body you tried to ignore your whole life.

I read a psychology book a few decades ago that had an interesting chapter on how policemen raised the incidence of rape in the 50's and 60's.
It works like this: Girl is out with bf, in the car, out at lovers lane and they're fucking. Of course this was illegal back then (I think it still is now?) plus in addition there was a HUGE stigma against premarital sex for women that's probably hard for young people today to understand.
So a policeman comes along, sees the car moving, shines his torch through the window and asks what's going on - and suddenly the woman starts yelling "rape!"
No doubt some rapes really were discovered this way. But also no doubt some women chose to call "rape" and destroy the man's reputation rather than risk having their own destroyed. Wish I could remember the title of the book; I do remember it had about 3 or 3 large sections and one was titled "The psychology of the breast examination"
