I remember 10 years or more on a message board I use to post on the topic came up about going out for dinner with someone. Around this time I had started hearing the idea that you shouldn't try and buy a womans affection and how offering to buy a woman a drink in a bar is silly.

Anyway I started discussing some point with a woman about dating and dinners and I questioned her about as a man why should I have to pay for her if the sexes are supposedly equal and we're suppose to be doing away with old gender sterotypes. Why can't people pay for what they eat or why can't a woman pay. It was funny watching her trying to backup her original idea without ruining her feminist facade also.

She ended up coming up with a wishy washy statement that whoever invites the other person should have to pay for the meal. i called her out and asked if she ever pays for other peoples meals. She claimed she did but I could tell she was full of shit.

Applying TRP principles got women to pay for dates 9/10 times. Still not worth the headaches and "holding frame" to appear alpha to women was unsustainable (for me) long term. The woman might be paying, but you're still paying in intangibles and most important of all, your time which is a finite resource. Not worth it for me.

good for him, if she's gonna act entitled she deserves to not only pay for the dinner but also to pay him for the cab service he likely provided by taking her there. Its great when you do find one of those rare women who aren't like this. On my first date with my ex she offered to pay for dinner. i did payed 50% despite her offer because that's whats fair to both parties and tbh it was refreshing to meet someone who wasn't a gold digger. Those are the types of women we need more of, unfortunately decent human beings are one in a million. Ever since she had to move away for college i have been unable to find someone like that since, which isn't really surprising.

Venmo is awesome, but seems to be blissfully ignored by women on dates. It's almost like they want to claim it's harder to send money to guys than friends.
