Equitable distribution is in conflict with women's innate programming (re: hypergamy), and also with the mating options of men who make it to the top. The combination leads to sharing and harems but often at the cost of societal instability. Civilizations do better when they introduce some controls, but greed on both accounts tends to lead to times where constraints are eroded, and, unsurprisingly, social strife ensues. In the west right now, LTRs and marriages are being thoroughly destroyed.

I take it your're kind of new here. Welcome. This is all pretty basic stuff to TRP but nevertheless good because new guys are always joining.

One small but important nitpick, to clarify the historic (and pre-historic) formation of harems:

If left to their own devices, women would choose harems; that is, they would rather share a powerful man with other women, then have their own weak man.

That's backwards. Women are not allowed that degree of agency in a feudal society.

Harems form because the strongest / most powerful men take the women. Period. From our enlightened 21st century eyes we assume "oh, those 37 women living with that one dude, he must be soooo studly... that's wrong. Those women did not choose him; he forcibly stole and confines the women; won them in battle, or was given them as a peace buyoff from a vassal.

That's how it was in the days before "civilization" and how it still is today in some areas of the world.

All my girlfriends were down to have threesomes with me. I think most of the girls I've been with were somewhat down to share me in some shape or form. Threesomes, one-sided polygamy relationships, etc. They also wanted my babies, suggested it and usually freaked me out enough to break up with them. It seems like this pattern is WAY to often for it to be "luck". I'm worried about marriage. I am way too stimulated by women to ever be married. It seems like if i DO marry. I posted this elsewhere, which means you're not alone in your linear thinking:

This question of, "Will the Feminine Imperative eventually ask for aspects of Islam in the U.S.?", came to me as I had been thinking about the image of a snake that eats its own tail. As a movement comes full circle there is this saying, "You will become what you hate most."

My train of thought is specifically on the aspect of multiple wives. It has already been written about that with higher college graduation rates, and earned income opportunity from favored hiring practices that the pool of eligible men shrinks since women don't date down.

When economically sufficient men marry monogamously they are also removed from the pool of eligible men. Yes, mistresses and sidechicks have access to an amount of the married man's resources, but they want more and hate the social stigma or "shame" of being the other woman. Progressivism/Liberalism has already shit-tested our society into accepting ever-widening definitions of alternative sexuality. I would need more than my two hands to count the articles written about “Millenials embracing Polyamory” on Huffpost, etc.

The increasing political power of women in the U.S., with Hillary front-and-center, and the open hypergamy that red-pillers chronicle daily, seem to be shepherding us to the moment when U.S. women enact the legislation to grant legal polygamy to gain access to the male economic elite. This may occur before the MGTOW movement reaches its theoretical critical mass.

If a society permits a man to have as many wives as can be equally economically sustained, he will have them, and impregnate them. For most forms of life, individual reproductive success is the highest achievement. How many Melania’s would Donald Trump wish to maintain if he wasn’t limited to one? Why wouldn’t the elite allow such a bill to pass once the public is sold the concept that it’s for the benefit of the children after all, “It takes a village”? The men in charge have surrendered every inch of the playing field they’ve been asked to thus far.

Is this the path to restoration? Will the female empowerment engine advance the cause of women’s personal liberty to the point at which they can choose, without being shamed(!), to be a concubine class, with the resulting American Aristocracy functionally resembling Pale-skinned Saudi Kings?

Polygamy should be a legalized practice for the top 5% - after re-establishing the father's right of custody to his children and abolishing asset redistribution schemes.

Additionally, prostitution and surrogacy should be legalized for the lower 95% of men that neither have the means, nor the patience to support a wife.

I've had this idea long before I came across the red pill.

That the idea of marriage and shaming slutty woman is all related to controlling the female distribution among men. The idea of only "one" wife is probably unique to Christendom. I think in most other societies, polygamy was the norm, where a man is allowed as many wives as he can support.

If women had their way, most men would not get their sexual biological needs fulfilled. That's why the traditional sexual morality is designed to be in men's favor.

This gets thrown around here quite a bit and I never see it brought up.

What exactly were these widows meant to do? Their Men and armies were defeated by the Nazi's, what were a bunch of civilian Women to do? When the choice is resist and be gang raped every night in honour of your dead husband or marry a German officer the rational choice is pretty clear.

If someone pointed a gun at me and gave me the choice of sucking their dick or having 10 guys run a train on me whenever they felt like it my answer would be a swift "MmBmmM" as balls slapped my chin.
