I'll keep it brief. I grew up in a Christian fundie home in the southeastern USA, and married (at 22) the first girl who showed me any real attention. Needless to say, I was clueless and spineless, and had nobody to warn me that she'd turn out to be just like (worse than actually) her narcissistic mother.

Well fastforward a decade, two (incredible) kids, but mostly misery, to the point where I buried myself in my career to preserve my sanity, and missed a lot of those early years of my kids. Well thank ALL THE GODS she finally flipped shit and booted me, blaming me for everything wrong in our family. I spent two years licking my wounds, paying all her bills and bending over for her in hopes that she'd take me back, but she only became more spiteful and abrasive.

Finally, after reading a letter she left in the back seat of my car (right beside my youngest daughter's car seat) in which she wrote "you make me feel horrible. please forget I exist" I snapped awake and asked myself, "What the fuck am I doing?"

The divorce is nearly finalized. When reality hit that she'd need to get a job and fix/take care of shit on her own she begged, and pleaded, and apologized, and wept. I'll admit, it hurts, but I'm a man. I can actually use logic.

All that to say, the universe gave me one hell of a gift. Honestly, I've been sleeping with beautiful girls ten years younger than me for the past year, and it's incredible. But what's even more incredible is being a dad on my own terms, with as little involvement from her crazy ass as possible.

I wouldn't recommend marriage to any young man, and it DID set me back 10 years, economically, but I wouldn't change a thing at this point. Otherwise I don't think I would've ended up where I am.

HERE'S TO GOING YOUR OWN FUCKING WAY!!!
