Ok, so the title is kinda self explanatory, but as I've been digesting the pill, and making improvements in the quality of women I meet (as a result of improvements to myself) I've noticed sometimes other men will hit on my women when we're out.

Here's a recent example:

I'm out with HB7, date 3, and as we're walking, I see a couple female friends, in a mixed group of guys and girls, my date knows none of these people, I introduce her quickly and then just start talking to my female friend to a) shoot the shit and b) social proof/dread my date.

I notice out of the corner of my eye some guys were taking interest in my date, and she wasn't being flirty (at least not via body language). I didn't do anything, as I was engaged in my own conversation, but when I was done, I said bye to my female friends, grabbed my date by the waist and started walking. She didn't object, and merely laughed and went along with it.

I took the lead, but this situation has happened with more than one of my dates, and I've had a similar response. I don't think there's necessarily anything wrong with my reaction, but I'm wondering if any of you guys can shed some light as to an alternate approach/way to handle the situation?
