First off, if their number doesn't matter, why do they underreport it by a factor of 3-5 (e.g. If a woman has been with 45 different men, she'll say anywhere from 9-15).

There are a few solid, rational reasons why a man would prefer a women without a promiscuous past.

But why does it even need to be justified? Does this guy try to convince women that they should not care if a man is shorter than them? Or if he has a high status job? Somehow I doubt it.

I would imagine that HPV infection (a cause of a number of different types of cancer) is strongly correlated with the number of sexual partners someone has had. Ditto for other incurable STDs like Herpes. And some of the bacterial STDs might be incurable in a few years due to antibiotic resistance. The idea that the number of sexual partners someone has had is irrelevant is, frankly, dangerous.

Some guys are saying that hypergamy is killing marriages and I agree with that let me share what I have observed in real life:

When a virgin woman marries she discover the sex and then aftwards she starts to get curious about having relationships with others men and as she is inexperienced in the dating game(she only had her first husband) it's very easy for her to be trapped by a Chad. And then after that the CC starts.
What prevents women from cheating and from prosmicuity is the fear. The fear of losing a source of income (a fear that no longer exist since women are working and marriages are a great deal for them) and the fear of social shame (no longer existent anymore)
As strange as it may sounds a experienced woman can be more loyal than a virgin one in long-term. The experienced one maybe is tired of riding the CC, so we can guess she's now in her 30s what is no a big deal for young or even experienced guys. But maybe she can be more loyal.

So it's possible that a "ex-whore" in her 30s is going to be more loyal than a virgin that married in her 20s.

So I guess that virtually any women in her 20s have to be looked as a probable whore, doesn't matter if she's a virgin or not.
