Summary/TL;DR

A plate finds that I'm seeing other women. Contacts one of them. Dramatic disaster ensues as they both gang up on me. I maintain my frame and come out winning.

Note: the language here might seem mild. At work computer. Deal with it.

Story

I've been seeing a plate for a few months. She's extremely cute, really good in bed, well educated, and can spar with the best of them in conversation (spoiler alert: this doesn't prevent her from evading AWALT). The first night that we went out I negged her like there was no tomorrow -- she was late for the date because she lost herself (yeah right) so I texted her that I was going to leave, by the time she showed up she already owed me 3 rounds of drinks. Needless to say only 3 rounds were had. At the end of the first date I kiss her and she actually gives me a handjob in the parking lot.

After a few weeks she starts nagging me about "what we are" and I summarily re-state that we're just hanging out. She says she wants more, to which I respond that I even though I like her, I like my freedom more, and if she's not comfortable with it she doesn't have to keep seeing me anymore.

After a few more weeks, we get in touch again, and less than a few days later she's spreading her legs like Monsanto spreads GMO seeds. This time we don't go into any detail of what we are, in my mind, we're right where we left off: no commitment. In her mind, who knows what the hamster is cooking, and frankly I don't give a damn. She's at my place, I see her phone go off and it's a Tinder notification. Sweet, we might actually be on the same page. I don't need to communicate about everything, as was explained the other day, women's need for communication is all about manipulation, access, and control. Not to mention it makes it easier for them to hamster and lie. Instead, I rely on cues and communicate when I need to. I have no need to control a plate's actions, because again, no effs are given.

I met a super hot chick on Tinder and we agreed to go out on a date. She asked to be my friend on FB which I allowed, it's mostly curated content so my family can keep up with an overview of my life and what my kids are up to. When we go on a date, the chick proceeds to "check in" to the bar and asked me if she could tag me. I consented, only a prick takes his FB seriously enough to where that stuff matters.

Fast forward a week, and my plate asks to add me on FB. Now, I know that I shouldn't care about FB, but it's also wise to not take a dump where you stick your dinner fork. Twenty minutes later, my plate has liked only one thing on my entire timeline: the tag that my Tinder date put in. I could see the fuse on the stick of dynamite fizzing and trailing along from a mile away.

The plate starts blasting me through FB about "how long this has been going on for", and I was matter of fact and honest. I didn't apologize, I didn't lie, I didn't backtrack. The plate got spun up even harder and started making up stuff about finding women's clothes in my house (which I know she didn't), her hamster is going full throttle.

The following day, I'm enjoying a day by the pool with my kids, and I get a text from my Tinder date: "you'll never see me again", and puts a screenshot of her conversation with my plate. "You were sleeping with another woman when you went out on a date with me. Douche."

My response: "Yeah, I don't see the problem. I was sleeping with her. She's not my girlfriend, and I made that clear to her. I'm not going to apologize for it."

I texted my plate and very calmly explained to her that I was disappointed in her choices and that we could not be friends anymore, and that I had every intention of going out with my Tinder date again. This of course set her off even more, and she started manipulating my Tinder date by saying "oh you should keep going out with him. He's actually a really great guy. He probably won't do this to you because I think he may actually respect you. Good luck!" I know this because she kept taking screenshots and sending them to me and calling me a piece of sh*t.

I blocked my plate, because by now I've recalled that trying to have a reasoned argument with an emotional woman is like trying to cuddle with a hungry python. I then proceeded to text my Tinder date: "I probably shouldn't have let on that poor girl without reminding her of what she already knew: that we were not a couple. I take responsibility for leading her on. I want to see you again."

A few days later, she texts me "I don't feel comfortable with this. I don't want to end up like her." So I called her on the phone, and I basically told her, "I had a friend that couldn't help but open her legs when she saw me. I'm single, and I'm definitely not gay. I want to see you again. You don't have to tell me now, make the choice at your pace, and let me know when you have."

Ten seconds later she says "You didn't do anything wrong to me [classic hamster - she was clearly upset a few days ago]. I definitely want to see you again, as long as you're not friends with (my plate) and that we're honest with each other". I won't be friends with my ex-plate, not because girl 2 demanded it, but because girl 1 is a liability and no longer someone that deserves to be in my sheets.

Lessons learned

  • As always, AWALT.

  • Arguing with a woman is like catching a falling piano. Don't. Let it hit the ground and walk away.

  • Manhood is frame and frame is manhood. Stoicism is about standing against hurricane winds.

  • Pre-selection is a strong motivator: super cute girl is totally head over heels over this guy but he seems to prefer me?!?!

  • IDGAF is a funny thing, because clearly we GAF. It's about not GAF one way or the other, because abundance mentality.

  • EDIT: Facebook has gotten me into trouble enough times to where we should have a healthy level of respect for it. Most here understand that and don't maintain accounts, but since I'm essentially forced to by family overseas, keep it on lockdown.
