It's not so much that girls like the dark pasts, the tortured souls, the issues, etc.

Some girls like men who have these things because of the way it makes the girls feel -- the mystery, intrigue, excitement, the unknown. It's fun. It's exciting. It's interesting. It's dramatic.

Men with these traits have IDGAF attitudes about pretty much everything. These are the men who go after life because they have nothing to lose by doing so. They don't play "safe" with their own lives. Girls find that kind of swashbuckling, derring do, even criminal conduct, very attractive.

Also, these tortured soul badboy men tend to pursue and take what they want, including women. they stand up for themselves and take no shit from others. They are unapologetically masculine, or perceived as such. Women find such men very attractive.

Yes. All the fucking time. I have a dozen plus scars on my body (granted three of them are on my left knuckles from that time I relieved a piece of shit who shot me [.25 ACP to the chest] of most of his front teeth, fractured his cheek bones, and his skull in a few places). I think it more, women like men who fight for a cause. People admire ideas most of all. You mentioned Bruce Wayne. The character of Batman is a good example of this. The Batman represents the idea of fear. Because he represents the idea of fear, the common crooks run from him. If they understood he was merely a "Man fighting with his inner demons" they would fear him less. In real life, we too admire Batman, but for a different reason. Our reason is because he stands for something greater than ourselves. For me, I look up to him because he represents the idea of life devotion to one's cause. That's what being an alpha male is about: the devotion to something. What you devote your life to is for you to decide. Perhaps it's art. Perhaps it's music. Perhaps it's tap dancing. Whatever it is, simply convey that what you devote your life to is your greatest passion and then the women will follow.
