I am not promoting any religion here but just thought I would share his views on our generation. Initially I thought he was just another white knight but then the more I read into the article, the more it sort of made sense from a TRP perspective.

But if young males have all their needs provided for by their parents and already get sex on the side, what motivation is there for those males to become more independent or invest in themselves.

First you usually need to move out to get whores. Whores arent big on basement dwellers so thats objectively false. As for motivation, bitch give me 10 reasons why i should marry anyone at all in this legal environment.

I like it, it is a bit of a gedankenspiel. I think that it depends on upbringing from both sides. I've seen a fifteen year old boy getting a seventeen year old girl pregnant. They thought they were mature, but they weren't. I've seen sixteen-seventeen year old girls who dated guys way above their age, because they thought they were mature by dating someone older, but got played in the end. When that happens, it says more than "oh my that girl is mature" it also says "what the hell, is that man a boy or something?". It's not only about playing the roll of a man or playing the roll of a woman. The definition of love and marriage are watered down versions of what it used to be. The fact that romantic movies or dramas are close to unrealistic, doesn't help either. I think that thanks to the modern world, the old world traditions and principles are changing. Easier sex doesn't stop us from becoming a man. Unwillingness to mature stops us from being a man. Some of us had to mature really fast, some of us actually never did. E.g. your parents died poor and you have to feed your little sister or your parents died but were loaded and you're a only child. The way you view and roam the world actually molds you into a man or manboy.

This pastor's definition of a "man" is "someone who sacrifices with no expectation of reward", which is exactly how we got into this mess in the first place. His argument is no different that the "man up" mantra women keep shrieking.

Religion, like so many social systems before it, once made provisions for male imperatives. Women were bound by holy vows made before the community to honour and respect their husbands. Societies were bound by shared values to uphold fairness in order to ensure men remained productive.

But now, men are checking out because they are no longer being incentivized to work hard, lead, and make sacrifices. Women, companies, governments, and societies at-large are saying loud and clear, "you are here to be exploited, not respected".

This is the elephant in the room.

The problem isn't getting into marriage or having children it's the potential slavery that can fall upon an innocent man afterwards.

Repel the 1950 Child Support Laws and free the males and marriage will return in a hurry.

The advice isn't bad per se, but it's delivered in a very blue pill way placing the blame squarely and only on men and as if this solution is a favor. It's also advice that's not (and won't be) followed until a woman is ready to snatch a beta.

I can't tell with Christian Pastors if they believe this shit or just brilliantly selling it.

The reason for boys "not growing up", however he defines it (generational in-my-dayism?, not marrying up sluts? Living-at-home?) is less because women put out easily and more because it's the path of least resistance, lack of immediate options, gender "equalization", bleak job market, tons of immediate gratification supplied by the marketplace, etc.

Now, I'm sure a culture of easy women adds to the unhappy beta, but not in the way the preachers is communicating, since the beta is getting less and less than successful men. So women getting more demanding isn't going to do much for the peter pan crowd other than go more mgtow.

I would agree with the underlying sentiment but would view it from an evolutionary perspective. Males have to attain value to get laid, then when they have produced offspring they become driven to provide for them the best that they can. It's at that point that most males become 'real men' in the sense that they strive for long-reaching goals rather than immediate satisfaction.

I struggle personally with this as I was raised in a traditional religious family and always assumed I'd get married and have kids. Now when I look at the modern peril of that strategy I am left really without direction. I focus all of my energy into fitness, reading, and the occasional fling with a waitress, but it's hard to approach life with any zeal when there is no end game. I have become one of Nietzche's Last Men, resigned to short term distractions because I know there is nothing beyond the horizon.

Marriage USED to offer these things, now we have all these couples moving in together, girlfriend cooks for you and has sex. Feminism kills this stuff. No, easy access to sex is not making men less manly. I've been considering writing a post on Christopher Ryan's book 'Sex at Dawn', it's an exploration of sexual dynamics in prehistoric hunter-gatherer societies (this is ~95% of our time as anatomically modern homo sapiens). It's a great read, highly recommend to everyone here. Hunter-gatherer societies were very promiscuous with each individual having multiple sexual partners. Thousands of years ago, men (and women) were having sex everyday, multiple times a day, with multiple different partners. Having lots and lots of sex is what we are evolved to do, not satisfying sexual needs is bad for your health.
