Just quit. Women don't make money so just quit any workplace like this. Chances are you will make more as you won't be picking up their slack.
I bet they spent many hours and meetings thinking up this 'clever' slogan/PR stunt and paid hundreds of dollars for the stupid cards.

this. i've never seen a more entitled group of whiny brats than college educated women. at my last company, a woman took over HR and started hiring only women. it's a snowball effect because a few guys already knew what this shit does and they left shortly after she was hired. this meant their seats had to be filled, and women filled their seats. the more gynocentric it became, the more men left. within 3 years, we went from almost all men to almost all women, which is a fucking tragedy for a tech company.
with no ideas from any of them that actually generated more revenue, and no projects from any of them which generated more revenue, and only 1 of the 5 female devs actually doing any work, revenue hit a plateau. they got raises/bonuses in the beginning "to keep morale up" but eventually executive management said "fuck this" and none of them got bonuses or raises. they whined like all fucking hell and went from not working but acting like they were working to being shitty and openly not working. that made anyone else who was actually still working give up. after i left, the board got together, fired everyone, and sold off the assets. women destroyed a profitable multimillion dollar company from within.
[–]Brondog28 points29 points30 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
This is so easy to believe. I wonder why...
[–][deleted] 10 points11 points12 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Probably because women are fucking scum lol
[–][deleted] 12 points13 points14 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
You can't have a tech company with all women, they don't do well with technical left brain tasks, that's a man's domain. That's basic common sense. This company was extremely poorly managed and deserved to fail for being singularly stupid with their hiring practices. I wish I knew which tech companies were doing this, I would make a fortune shorting their stocks.
[–][deleted] 7 points8 points9 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
wasn't a public company, so no shorting available.
i was strongly against all of it and after the woman running HR had made her 3rd hire (female), i started to perk my ears up about this shit.

Could you send this story and the company name to Turd Flinging Monkey? This is solid gold stuff.
[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
wish i could but i'm not looking to get doxxed
[–]a17c81a34 points5 points6 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You don't have to tell your OWN name, just the company plus it doesn't exist anymore right?
[–]NoThirst2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
...and we all know how women treat other women in the workplace. The source of all drama.
it's not just the drama... it's that women are incapable of agency or taking risks. they can't make final decisions. they go to guys to get the guy's opinion and approval on whatever it was, so that if it fails, the girl says "well, bob said it would work. bob said to do it." and when guys started leaving or wisening up, the girls would make even the simplest shit into a fucking committee, so that if something failed, it was "the committee agreed to do this." even for the simplest of fucking tasks, they had to have a committee. i'm surprised they could even answer phones.
[–]DeusExMaximum0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Can you give us the source? The company name or an article? (the company name would be more than enough, actually)
[–]Seriouscatt23 points24 points25 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Women earn 70% of what a man earns so if he quits, they all get nothing
[–]derp_derpington6 points7 points8 points 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
The cards do look professionally done, they didn't make them themselves. Someone paid for them. It doesn't even actually mean anything either.
[–]a17c81a36 points7 points8 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
.. and it should say 'women' unless the small text says something I can't see.
[–]derp_derpington2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I thought the same thing but even then, are people not trusting women enough? What do they want? I'm sure their answer would be funny.
[–]wellimout4 points5 points6 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Here's a closeup. It says Trust me I'm a woman. So clearly, the reason big boy got away with covering up the "wo" was that it was a minor concession to allow him to say "trust me, I'm a man."
However, if you try to imagine any business actually printing up cards that said, "trust me, I'm a man" - you know that would never in a million years be acceptable.
[–]davisyoung0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
They couldn't even get the female symbol correct. The cross is supposed to point straight down.

I've heard stories like this before, sounds about right. Luckily for me I work at a truck dealer and all the truck technicians are men. I earn enough for now but I can leave if they don't give me raises as I improve. Anyway, there are women there, but my job works out in such a way talking to them is rarely needed. I would say any male only workplace have a much sense of comradery and that makes work much more fun during and in-between breaks.

Why the fuck would they hand him that card and make him do a photo with him holding it??? That being said, props to him for how he is holding it.
This is why I don't work an office job. I did years ago. I was the only male in the department. On my birthday they decorated my cubicle with pink and purple and hair clips made for little girls and shit. I made it clear instantly my dislike for what they did. All but one dropped it. She would smile and refer to me by a girl's name (all the decorations came from her btw). Next day she still did it I told her to stop it. A week later she's still doing it, I go to our supervisor and tell her what's going on and my demand that it stops. The supervisor has the talk with her, tells her to stop it and she instantly continues it. Two weeks of this goes by, I have taken this to my director who backs me up, and it is continuing and only from this one bitch. I finally go up to her and say "You refer to me by a woman's name one more time and I go directly to HR and I file two complaints against you. First for creating a hostile work environment against me even after I, the supervisor and the director have all told you to quit this. Secondly, I will file a sexual harassment complaint against you for continuing to refer to me as a woman. I call you by your name I don't insult you and if you can not give me the same professional respect because I am the only male here let me know so I can go right now to HR and see if they can fix this problem.
I was pissed. She stopped it but did everything from that point forward to belittle me, insult me, make it clear that she believed herself to be my superior. She was eventually fired after I was making near daily complaints against her as other co-workers who hated that bitch were asking why the hell she was allowed to do that shit.

She was slobbing on higher up knob.
[–]GreatJanitor4 points5 points6 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Actually, not. She was an ugly fat bitch. Even the thought of her naked was vomit inducing. No way any higher up would waste their time on having her suck them off. She threw out her roommate (who was also in our department) because when they went out the roommate was getting all the attention from the guys and she was cock blocking out of jealousy. So roommate moves in with her mother and she calls the apartment complex and rats roommate's mother out for having someone not on the lease living there getting former roommate evicted. She was one of those awful terrible ugly women who walked around as if she was sent to Earth by God himself. Her firing, after she put in her two week notice she went off on me in a very unprofessional manner by sitting at her desk and yelling at me for a mistake that I made. A mistake that she only found because she was going through the scan folder and going over my processed work from the previous month (not her job). Several co-workers complained to our boss for her yelling. I made the complaint for her going through old processed work looking for a mistake I made, saying that it wasn't her job and was only done because she was looking to start something. When boss lady asked to see her in private she responded with "You don't attend my church, you don't follow my religion, I don't recognize any authority you have over me.". HR sent someone to her and said "There is no need for you to finish out your two weeks.". Personally she needed professional help and I think her church may have been a cult for her to have that mindset.

If there's one thing I've learned in life it's to not trust women. Or people in general really.
