I consider MGTOW to be an adaptation / survival strategy. It's also a rejection of the lifescript, including much of our gender roles (e.g. roles in marriage, male disposability).

In short, I'd answer your question with a "yes." It's hard to imagine the circumstances changing in such a way as to un-MGTOW however. Simply rolling back the clock wouldn't work, as I would reject the traditional lifescript even if women were still bound to it. I have no interest in parenting, even if family law was balanced. I have no interest in involving the government in my personal relationships via marriage. I have no interest in being "disposable" and getting sent off to fight and die in someone else's war.

When you unwrap the reasons for marriage, it is an institution created for children. They wanted to give incentive for mothers and fathers to stay together, so the child would have both mother and father together in the home.

So to unpack the modern man's position - it seems like feminism has empowered women to do anything they want except be a mother. Don't be a little housewife slave to a man because that's the patriarchy! Feminism has succeeded. More women are in the workplace, career-driven, following individual goals, women have more rights than ever, and are generally seen as equals. Women are empowered to do anything men can do, and it wasn't always like that. Some great work on that front, except women now are less motherly. Men see that, and will want to have women as sex partners, relationship partners maybe even life partners, but not mothers. And with no kids, there is no point in getting married.

I've found that the amount of effort put in, always approaching, getting rejected most of the time... there isn't enough time. I'm gunna probably live alone, but death is a journey we take alone anyway. Might as well enjoy this life instead of trying to win the affection of the opposite sex. Juice isn't worth the squeeze. Plus all it takes is one word that "he raped me" and I'm off to prison.

I suppose I wouldn't be, but I use MGTOW to simply stay true to myself. My SO runs a business and has her friends and family, we've made each other the cherry on top for our lives that are otherwise great alone. If I don't see her for a week, whatever, I'm doing what I want. Also, I don't want to get really committed because "it's just my turn". MGTOW is the philosophy, relationships are the game. It's really just a game I can't take seriously, but I want part of my life for the roller coaster of emotions. Without the game I just get bored.

I'm a short man, so even if the dating market wasn't this bad, I'd still be screwed. It's honestly better this way for me, because who knows how long I would have kept playing the dating bullshit game if I didn't possess a physical trait that all women consider a hard dealbreaker. In truth I'd probably be suckered into marriage by now.

MGTOW will always exist regardless of the status of gynocentrism since there will always be individuals that draw the line in different places. Now THE AMOUNT OF MGTOW is a direct reflection of the society's situation regarding inter-gender relationships. As information spreads and things get more gynocentric, the number of MGTOW will continue to grow. However, if things get better many of those MGTOW will go back to the plantation, since everyone draws the line at a different distance.

I've been single and enjoying life for 5 years. Asking what ifs is pointless speculation to me I suppose. This is our reality, and we reacted to it in an instinct of self preservation, or hell even just basic human dignity. I personally enjoy the awakening the internet + MGTOW has created - this is a unique time and situation - cool new ways of living could be born out of this turd sandwich of a situation many people find themselves in as they are just getting a redpill crammed down their throat. I don't feel a morsel of regret for not having married and had kids - that's a womans disney dream. A mans dream is to get his rocks off every night, watch the game, eat a pizza and drink a beer, then go ride his motorcycle. Marriage isn't needed for a mans dreams.

My reasons for never dating let alone getting married wasn't due to the fear of divorce or exposure to a lot of cunty women, I just wasn't interested in sex enough to bother with trying to lose my virginity and I never chatted with a woman so enthralling that I wanted to make her my girlfriend, basically all MGTOW did was tell me why staying a bachelor for life really is the smartest thing to do.

Actually, at this point in my life, I would keep doing my own thing even if the scene did improve. Why? Because I realized that I just don't care for a woman's constant company. I want sex and that is it. So I suppose the hook-up culture that makes this okay for women actually does benefit me. YMMV.

I would consider not being mgtow if I had the power to essentially dictate the terms of marriage. Like a Prenup but fixed.

I wouldn't abuse that power on my wife (assuming i could even find a suitable woman). But I trust the current institution so little that they would really have to offer a lot to get me to plug back in.

I'm still more generous than sharia law. I find that kind of shocking when I think about it sometimes.

The problem is AWALT, this has always been true but now the law has played into their hands and legitimised their machinations. If all a woman could do to you was throw a tantrum, pick up their stuff and march out of your life forever we would probably be more inclined to take the good times, bear with the stupid times and sigh and start over when/if it all blew up. Sadly it just isn't that simple when a relationship goes south these days.
