I finally accepted AWALT when I saw women from my own family, and from other conservative families I know, displaying all the AWALT traits we discuss here.

It was hard for me to come to terms with the fact that even the girls I thought were ''different'', because they grew up in conservative families, were not much different from the average girl. They were just better at hiding it and playing the innocence card.

AWALT, except when they aren't.

You might want to add age here of your sister (30) as that gave some better context. I thought maybe this was in high school.

Nice post though, thanks for the story. Entertaining and to the point. Sometimes these are the ways people learn best - through just practical applications from field reports and stories.

Theory is great and teaches you how to think, but stories are what people remember.

I love my sister and mom to death, but I'm not at all surprised. My sister in grammar school was a book nerd, but when she entered high-school she blossomed. She had countless beta oribitors who took her out for free meals and gave her gifts endlessly. It was all thanks to my mom, who groomed her in the art of manipulating men.

If you do talk to your sister, have completely no shame in yelling at her for being a disloyal girlfriend. Tell her that every guy she wants to be with is going to behave the same way. If you say anything else, you're giving the blue pill to your sister.

What also makes me laugh is that this guy was the same boyfriend who helped her after she passed out in the bathroom, and did a write up of everything that transpired before seeing the physician (a few months ago).

The fuck is your mother doing?! Does IQ and wisdom and good sense only go in the Y-chromosome in your family or something?

Yeah my mum is a pretty raging narcissist and is almost certainly cheating on my dad, or has, but I guess he is too now or whatever. Don't know, don't care, they're bad influences. I don't think he's a bad guy, just doesn't have any other options and doesn't even care anymore. He chose badly, which is weird to say, because I wouldn't be here if hadn't, but still.

My sister's only twenty and god knows what she gets up to. She got into drugs when she was like fourteen or fifteen and 'went out' with her dealer, so I presume she has an N of 20+ at least. Gross to think about and gross to say but the women in your family are a good warning.

It's really bad to grow up with that, got some real trust issues because my mum was such a cunt.

I would have been a bit more patronizing to my mom for endorsing such silly behavior on the part of your sister.

I mean if she wants to get dinner with the guy, she does it only by forfeiting her claim in the relationship she's in. If her boyfriend finds out, obviously there's consequences and he has a perfect precedent for breaking things off. It's really very simple. To act like this is a tragedy or unfair in some way is silly.

Of course we all understand this, but I would seriously condescend to my mother if she tried to twist reality in this way. You can't morally shame them, it's ineffective. The only shame they respond to is framing it as though they are so silly and dumb for thinking it's somehow unfair.

Not to insult your sis and mom, I'm just saying I would not have hid my disdain.

Thanks to TRP I understand if a woman does this its 110% an instant hard next. No discussion or hamstering from her allowed.

It is pointless and unneccessary to figure out if she did or did not fuck, if the guy is unattractive, or why she went to dinner with a guy and lied about it.

Even without the lying this isn't acceptable behavior from a taken woman. She does not respect the relationship. His turn was over. He ended it like a man by walking away instead of a beta by giving her a chance to spin the hamster and asking for another chance.

Until something happens they maintain plausible deniability. And when something finally happens they unleash the hamster. So it's really never their fault.

The problem is not with women and them always being on the lookout for a better opportunity (hypergamy). It's in the steadfast refusal of committed men to do the same. Their so ego invested in the sanctity of their commitment that they can't see the bigger picture.

Of course feminism and current day society has made great steps ensuring that men stay stupid and blindfolded. How dare a man talk to another woman if he's already taken. Shame him on social media. Call him a filthy dog.

But when women do the same she's 'only having dinner' with the guy.

If my girlfriend is going out to dinner with a male friend who ive met before and theres obviously no attraction or sexual dynamic between them.. that's not a red flag at all. People have social lives..

But the fact that she lied and tried to hide the fact that she's meeting up with some dude kind of spells it all out right there.

Good on ex boyfriend for having a spine and not tolerating that behavior from an ltr. Hopefully your sister learns from this experience and gets better with curbing her AWALT nature.
