The Ten Commandments I read say "Do not commit adultery." They do not say "Commit adultery, so long as the husband knows."

For, after all, the adultery is not merely a sin against the husband, but a sin against God. Receiving the husband's permission or forgiveness isn't going to make the act any less sinful. If anything, it'll only compound the sin, by allowing it to go on with impunity.

Slightly off topic but my cousin attends a big church in her town and apparently there's a giant swingers sex club thing a lot of the attendees are in. Church is just to save face at this point in my opinion. Every person sitting in Church ain't really putting any thought into anything they are preaching. And the preachers say the same 5/6 stories over and over. Just sitting there like a good little drone. And my sister goes to a church that asked for $16 million from its attendees to build more shit. Its a fucking global chain business church.

In fact, Christ specifically spoke against men sharing wives through technicalities like "serial monogamy."

This is what this is: sharing a wife, whether or not they've been "technically" divorced in the eyes of their religion.

The key is that divorce is prohibited to the person who has the power in the relationship. Since women have the majority legal power, her adultery is religiously prohibited, even if she wishes to engage in such behavior.

If the husband knows, then it's probably not "technically" (just bog-standard) adultery... more like prostitution, with hubby as the pimp-daddy whoring out his wife.

Oh, and as or them being Christians... they're obviously not, they may call themselves that, but it's simply false labeling/LARPing, no different than putting on a chicken costume and claiming to be a chicken.

They are in denial. Matthew 5:28: "But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart." In other words, if you are married, lust only for your wife. If you are not married, don't lust for any woman.

The married man is doing a whole lot more than merely looking lustfully. Ask the man to show you where the Bible permits this sort of thing when "the husband knows." He won't be able to show you anything because it doesn't and he's in denial. He's just flat out making up stuff to get what he wants. If that's how they want to live, it's their choice. But they cannot honestly call themselves "Christians" (followers of Christ) when they are knowingly doing the exact opposite of something that Christ said.

Most definitely not a christian, but I believe their doctrine says that to lie with another man that you are not married to is sin. Does not matter if the husband knows about it or not, her infidelity may be forgiven by her husband, but not by their god. At least that is my read on it.
