Ivanka is an extremely high-status woman, because of such conditions, her hypergamy only allows her to be attracted to an extremely select few of men.
She likely is very insecure about her marriage, constantly doubting herself, "Is this really the best I can do?"
Then, Trudeau comes in, one of the very few men in the world with the culmination of power, looks, and wealth — she all of a sudden goes from stern and serious businesswoman to thirsty post-wall slut almost instantaneously.
