Life isn't about snapping the correct puzzle pieces into place so that things will be "right," it's about having experiences. Experiences shape us as individuals, and we are in control of a finite number of things in our life. We are in control of our actions, but not always the external factors that may affect them.
Just like a sailor, we can move the rudder and adjust our sails, but we cannot control the wind or current. You should jump on opportunity, to move in a certain life direction that you choose, but you should not expect the wind and current to take you where you want them to.
With that said, you cannot search for the perfect wind or current. It doesn't exist. You have to learn to navigate yourself in every weather possible and spend your time mainly sailing in the weather that you choose. You have to make your vessel move, not expect the wind and current to move it for you. As the captain of your life, this is your duty to yourself.
Because there are no perfect conditions, it will never be the best it has ever been. Some days will give you an amazing wind, others will cause you to drop the sails and start motoring around.
The wind can always blow a little softer, a little harder, down to an infinite amount of decimal points... the same goes for the currents speed and its synergy with the wind.
And just like the conditions, there will never be a perfect girl, only a better one, never a best. There will never be a perfect outcome, and you cannot rely on external factors to produce the outcomes you want them to. You are in control of your destiny, but not always external factors that influence you, your life, or particular scenarios.
There will always be a better girl out there, but not a best, because just like the wind and waves, different parts of her will work in synergy to amount to something different. There is no perfect day to sail, just some good ones and some bad ones, and there is always a woman out there who has a better mix, yet, there is no such thing as a perfect woman, with the best mix.
Outcome independence, particularly when related to women, develops because you understand a major point:
that at any moment, you could walk away and find better. That she is not the best, there is no best, only better, no perfect "puzzle piece" that snaps into yours. Your ability to attract and access women by the dozen, proves this to yourself. You cannot truly establish outcome independence, without abundance. And you cannot truly appreciate outcome independence when you settle into a relationship and consider it your best, because no such relationship exists. There are only better ones. There is no end, there is no such level as "being completely content," and you should always demand more for yourself.
With this said, do NOT allow yourself to live with discontent, and never settle. There isn't a perfect, but there is always a better. Life is forever dynamic.
