The hypothesis of this post is that self consciousness is a symptom of your own self defeating self absorption and selfishness, and with this mindset it is impossible to have good game, or good social skills for that matter.

First I'll define selfishness, as it can be interpreted to be a positive thing in the context of the Red Pill. Selfishness, in regards to this post will mean a blatant disregard for others, focusing only how you perceive things will affect you.

You wake up in the morning, look in the mirror, and see that your face has 17 giant pus erupting abominations. What do you think when you go out in public? Are you concerned that these pimples will make people think you're disgusting? If you do, you are a little beta bitch. "But Bachiavellian, it lowers my SMV, I'm just being rational." No, you are rationalIZING why your self worth comes from something external.

That is only the first problem, your second problem is that you are only thinking about what you gain from being in public. You want to go out and have everyone think you are a God. You are expecting people to give you validation for NOTHING THAT YOU DID. That is selfish, and not only is it selfish, but it is a beta fantasy: "Wow if only I were a 10 in looks everyone would see how awesome I am". I'm not saying you shouldn't do everything within reason to improve your looks, because you should, but I'm saying it's useless to fantasize about.

Let's talk about the underlying psychology as to WHY you desperately seek others approval.

Firstly, your upbringing is a huge factor in this. You've likely been taught to seek approval, and have been punished for not seeking it. It is deeply engrained in your head that your self worth comes from external factors. NMMNG book talks about this.

Secondly, humans are social creatures. We depend on others for our own sanity. Don't believe me? Google solitary confinement. We need to be able to get along with others. This need creates scarcity mentality. "If the people I see today don't like me, I'll be alone". This is why we humans have such strong social conventions, so that we can create an easy barrier for who belongs, and who doesn't; the us and them mentality. We automatically categorize others into those who share our view of 'reality' to reinforce our own ego.

Thirdly Scarcity mentality. In the same way you try to attract women, you also try to get others to like you. When you are so worried about whether or not people like you, it shows through micro-expressions, that you have scarcity mentality. Always have abundance mentality.

Fourth you want to protect your ego. Instead of having responsibility for who you are, you use the excuse of external factors as to why things aren't the way you want them.

Why it is selfish to seek others' approval

Your only use for others is your own validation. That makes you a giant faggot. Think about that, your first thought about other people is how they think about you. People can sense this, and they find it repulsive, because it is a repulsive trait. You're not being direct and open about your intentions, you just hope that people will think you're cool, having done nothing to deserve it other than just exist. You are not a woman, you don't get to coast on looks. In fact the reason so many of you are so focused on looks is just projection. You think that because you mostly care about women's looks, that they must only care about your looks. But men and women are different, and looks is a comparatively small factor, which can easily be overcome by game, status, value, social proof etc. You are not the passive sex, you are the aggressive sex; hoping passively that people find you attractive is an inherently feminine trait.

You are also projecting in another way, you assume that when you actually get your head out of your ass for 3 seconds you spend it judging someone else. You project that others do this also. It's almost like you're judging yourself, lowering your own self worth.

How to Not Be a Selfish Piece of Shit

Instead of constantly wondering if that was the right thing to say, or feeling like someone is staring at the mole that takes up 3/4 of your face, try actually being fully mindful. What value can you provide in an interaction? You should KNOW that you are a boss, and give a piece of the abundant value you have to others, simply to share an enjoyable experience/interaction. It's remarkable how a cashier's face will light up when I make a comment that breaks the monotony of her day, showing her that I don't have my head so far up my ass that I can't notice something pertinent to the situation (ie "you look bored", "How many times have you said that today", "Is your proper uniform in the wash?"). It's amazing how easy it is to find something to say when you're not at all worried about how people perceive you. You become freed to enjoy situations, to guide and control them, give and receive value. People can tell if you're uncomfortable in the situation. When someone looks uncomfortable, it makes them uncomfortable also. If you're comfortable with who you are, it will show, and people won't be worried around you; worried about making you cry about pointing out a pimple, or hurting your little feelings.

Remind yourself every time you have a self conscious thought that it's a selfish beta dickhead thought, and it's not useful. Take the thoughts that are useful, and discard the rest; you are not your thoughts.
