He's a young guy, and right now he's learning some hard, hard truths. I've been where he is, maybe we all have, and it was one of the hardest periods of my life. Earlier this year he was engaged to be married. Tonight he's single and has lost just about everything.

He moved into a new apartment with his fiance a month ago. She broke up with him the next day. He was in some thick denial, but I had the experience to see that she had used him to get the new place paid for(about $3k) and moved into. She also drove their car into a curb about this time and it's been unusable ever since.

So, he was still staying at their new place because he didn't have anywhere to go, and of course he's trying to get back together with her. She would manipulate him into taking blame for the break up every time he tried to talk about it. He was constantly apologizing and trying to "do better" and "make things right".

She was going out to the bar every night, he would stay up waiting for her until 3am. A few nights ago she didn't come home at all. She said she passed out on her ex-boyfriends couch. It was apparent to me and the other guys what was going on, but the denial wasn't letting him see any of it.

He was distracted at work all morning today. He left for his lunch break early and immediately went home. He was crying when he came back. He went home and looked on her Facebook page, and of course she had been cheating for awhile. He said he couldn't be at work(I don't blame him), he punched out and left. Who knows where he will go or what will happen next.
