I feel sad. So many comments with fuckton of upvotes are made(and unpvoted) by people who either didn't even read the story, or don't understand how much of an advantage in a fight knife gives.

They were attacked by two muggers, which means they are very likely to be at least as strong as the 75 kg guy, with a KNIFE. How in the ass was he supposed to fight them?

If someone doesn't want to read the whole story, I'm giving a more proper tl;dr:

tl;dr: Me and my fiance were assaulted by two muggers with a knife. My fiancé ran away and left me to face two muggers by myself as he called the police. He says it was the smart, logical thing to do, but I can’t get over how abandoned I felt in the moment and I’ve lost a lot of regard for him.

Either, you stay steadfast in the "equality" mantra, or you recognize there are glaring differences. Reddit continues to preach conflicting dogmas simultaneously.

The only reason I hesitate to do so more and more is because the usual response is one or two butthurt comments, and mostly just anonymous downvotes. That's the case 100% of the time, without fail. With the occasional person thinking they're so evolved and good at debating that they'll try and take that argument on. Only to lead to BS talking points that they've heard in the media all their lives.
