I work with college kids. I can tell you that many average to above average (but I wouldn't say model looks) guys do fine getting girls. I'm not saying these girls don't have a history, I don't know. I will say that most of the girls with any sort of brain figures the real world out real quick and they are OK with guys under 6' tall, not making six figures, etc..

I think this is part of the problem, the amount of mostly decent girls aren't on Tinder with stupid comments. They have snagged a guy and they are happy with what they have. ("Decent" to me means they might have went through a wild stage for a year or two, even if just for a few months even. If this is a deal breaker, so be it, but that seems to be the pattern for a lot of the moderate to less than moderate social/party type women).

Lastly it has been said many times that a lot of the shorter girls can't really grasp height anyway. An early 20 something co-worker who is my height (5'9") said she tried dating guys who were 5'8"-5'10" but that she prefers a taller guy. The reason is simply because when she puts on fancy high heels she doesn't want to feel like she is towering over her man.
