1) make an active decision in your life to never repeat the same mistakes twice.

2) decide one thing that you truly want to work on. Something you feel that's holding you back, something that you worry about night and day. For me this was my weight. After going to the gym, eating healthier, and sleeping 8 hrs per night for 6 months, I've lost 50 pounds.

3) whenever there's a problem, repeat to yourself this phrase. " I can handle this. No matter how difficult this seems, this too shall pass."

4) find other ways to occupy your time. Do something active, constructive. For me, I found this in physical activity. Taking walks, bike riding. I also cook, work on electrical products, read political works and the newspaper, and occasionally watch football.

5) find a pet project. Something that will require checking in and maintenance. This doesn't necessarily mean getting an actual pet, but rather finding something you care about and would like to see continue in its best shape. For me, My Pet Project is my apartment. I take a little extra time cleaning it, organizing if I find something that works better than what I had, I'm keeping it that way for as long as I can.

Doing these things has shown me that I can progress forward. That when given a task I care about, I can do it. That I am not a fuck up, that I can do it, and that I can win.

A big part of moving forward is admitting a mistake.

So get a piece of paper and write down your biggest mistakes. Then either tear it up and trash it or light it on fire (somewhere safe don't burn down the house).

Also look into meditation. It will help you control your thoughts.

Another way to try and overcome the negativity is to do a pushup every time you have a negative thought. Then replace it with a positive thought. If you can't do a proper pushup don't fret just do a negative by placing your knees on the ground and doing the pushup with just your upper body. Or do a vertical one against a wall.

I'd recommend you check out Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. I think this is the right version.

Or you can just try and google something along the lines of "free think and grow rich original" (which came out in 1937).

I used to have issues around this and honestly the answer is stop thinking about yourself so fucking much. Stop thinking about other people and what they think as well. Focus on doing positive things like hobbies and working hard. That will occupy your mind and make life better which in turn raises your perception of yourself. Obviously getting shredded physically is a big part of this as well.

Overall just stop analyzing mistakes in the past because no one else honestly cares so why should you? Hell in our society mistakes are glorified all the time. Learn from your mistakes and move forward.

Cultivating self-forgiveness is like cleaning a really messy room. Nobody wants to do that and it's a lot of work. Sometimes there is so much work to do it makes you feel worse. It gets messy and you're back to square one.

Keep your mind and sanity clean. It's hard to grow but start noticing when you shit talk yourself and automatically say stop thinking like that. Self hatred is a self-trained habit as is self forgiveness. You got yourself here. You can get out. It takes time but don't stop talking to yourself like a good friend. Take a good look in the mirror and get familiar with the guy in it. He's all you got my man. Be nice to him.

When you fuck up you are right to feel bad about it... that's one of the main reasons you will try to improve. This whole feel good, everybody gets a trophy nonsense is destroying your potential.

Hang on to those feelings as long as you need to, then move on down the road... hopefully to all new fuck ups. Anybody who rarely or never fucks up is a pussy who isn't really trying. The only way to make meaningful progress in anything is to push your limits... and that means risking the fuck up.

You should be celebrating your fuck ups man... it's literally the vehicle of your salvation. Our culture is so ass backwards at this point that it deludes young guys like you into toxic mindsets like this. You will have to unlearn that shit.

The common theme of these words is the negative connotations people associate with them.

Manipulating people is a bad thing Who would disagree with this? Well I disagree... without context it's a meaningless word. Is it still a bad thing if I manipulate you in a way that benefits you?

No it isn't.

Laziness... I only hire people who I judge to be at least a little lazy... more is better. This is because I know the lazy people will be the most efficient... they are too fucking lazy to do it the hard way... efficiency.

Slavery... now surely he's not going to say anything good about slavery is he?

Yes... he is.

In fact slavery is arguably mankind's most benevolent invention.

Why?

Because prior to the advent of slavery as an institution when one people conquered another people... they just fucking killed the guys and the kids, raped the women and then killed them as well. Slavery was a vast improvement to getting a spear in the chest.

I court failure... look for it... crave it.

You fear failure... and that's the only real failure buddy.
