The typical "man up" thought process. Old guys like this will never let it go. He also forgot to mention 80% of suicides are male, only 41% of graduates are male. I think its also 6 out of 7 high school drop-outs are male. Circumcision is still looked at positively or not even brought up despite religion losing significant support. Not surprisingly he didn't even bring up marriage related hardships like divorce, alimony, and losing custody of the kids. Playboy is for old guys who are so loaded with money that they'll never miss the amount their gold-digger girlfriends are stealing. For the rest of us--- young and old-- there are better choices for information ("Hey, I just buy it for the articles") and for porn (be honest-- you bought it for the articles but you turned to the centerfold first).

About shutting up about the problems-- like Oldredder says, that's how problems get worse. You isolate yourself, and in no time you begin to believe you're the only one in the history of Man who has ever had the problems you have. Suicide could be only weeks away believing a self-taught lie like that.

Part of the problem is that men are not predisposed to talking about problems. Shutting up means we become alone, left to stew. Talking about our problems allows us to come together and solve them.

Men should be encoraged to talk, the author above thinks we should just shut up and take it. This is why, the author is full of bull shit.

And to think, there was once a time when you could legitimately claim to read Playboy "for the articles." Granted, I am sure that like Forbes, the website has far lower standards than the print publication, and accepts tons of filler that otherwise would be rejected, but this is just painfully stupid on the sentence, paragraph, and article level.

"it's not manly" why the fuck would I look for approval from this guy? and what's manly or not seem to be very different from person to person. So no one actually seem to know the exact meaning of it.
