I would love to read your comments about this. I was talking with a female friend when this came up. We were wondering what would happen if a high number of men stops spending time, energy and money on:

  1. things that serves ONLY to attract women (cars, specific sports, supplements)
  2. things ONLY for general social approval (living on expensive addresses, business clothes, cool haircut)
  3. things that, although cool, won't make his objectively and sustainably happier (big house with a pool, 16V engine car, Apple laptop).

Following that, men would only spend money on his basic survival needs and luxuries that he really enjoys it. For example, someone might live on a very simple house on a poor (but lawful) area, but has a Harley Davidson or Hayabusa, since he loves bikes. Maybe he is a fashionist and loves Hugo Boss, but don't care about eating on expensives restaurants. He gets his spending prioritized.

It is very hard to find any data about these. We could look for numbers on all of those, but any data clarifying the reasons behind spending on these seems inexistent. Did these PS4 were all sold for life-long gamers? Or someone who just got rich and are on a shopping spree? Maybe it was for his child, who didn't play it for months?

So, even this sub being a ridiculously small demographic, I think it would be relevant to know more about you on these.

I always lived a frugal life, and the only expensive things that gives me a bonner (ok, besides woman) are motorcycles(which I don't do it anymore because it is motherfucking dangerous) and penthouses(which I don't have yet because money). Materialisticly speaking, I really don't need much more than 500 square feet, gaming laptop, huge mattress, laundry machine, stove, few jeans and tshirts. This is somehow in priority order. Yes, wifi is implied. I have a gym membership where I can train striking and grappling with tough guys (well, not that though. Hey, we are white collars workers, all right?).

It seems most of men here lives like this. Some even talk about going off grid, living with the land. But maybe some of you likes high standards on everything of your life. I would like to learn more about these.
