It's not a competition. There's no victory line for the human race. All we can do is focus on the self as individuals and help each other along the way. There has never been a period in history where a man can be as free as he can be today. I think MGTOW is the path to personal victory, the only victory that matters.

I am horrified. You don't sound like an ambassador for MGTOW but a bitch whipped looser. Going your own way is not about whining about women but stepping out of their game and doing the things that make you happy. If that is just creating "games and animations" then great but I suggest branching out into lots of extra fields. If your days are happy and fulfilled you have won the game of life.

The problem is that so many men buy into the lie that sex is the reason for life and that it is fulfilling. It is at most fun for the moment but if it leaves you enslaved it is way to expensive. Going your own way should open your eyes to the hundreds of other things you always wanted to do and the fact that you are now grown up and free to do them.

I'd expand on the subject but I have a Hang Glider that needs setting up for the season and it won't check itself out.

women are just people, just like us- as someone stated it here recently- just with vaginas and low testosterone. they would not do anything for us because :

a] why they would? b] there is nothing/nobody forcing them to do it (because who it should be? their parents? (same people as all of us), god? idk but you got my point) c] the clever part of us, men figured it out and we know that we also don't need to provide anything for women. that's not a requirement.

we are all just people - and often just using each other for one's egoistic benefit. women got the upper hand because so many men still stupidly believes that they owe something to them, that they should cherish them like princesses and so on and so forth.

just think would you not used that kind of power if women were acting like that towards you? of course you would. everyone would.

that's what they are doing.

and 'war' with them is not an answer. you don't need to go to the war to 'win' this one.

What exactly did you think there is/was to "win" ?

The proverbial "game" is akin to Tic-Tac-Toe. Do you still waste your time trying to "win" at that?

In this I am in agreement with /u/OrbitalThrownaway when he says:

Think about it. While there have always been "bachelors" in most civilized societies they were often roundly looked down upon, if not outright ostracized and condemned -- generally speaking the only viable paths (at least for majority of the population) that didn't involve some form of indenture/slavery to females were either monkhood/monastery life, or some form of military; both of which required significant sacrifice of personal comforts/interests, and some form of indenture/obeisance to some other authorities.

Occasionally -- in certain eras and locations -- men could set out for the wilderness, but while that granted freedom, it generally came at a high price in terms of discomfort, heavy/difficult and/or risky labor.

And invariably ALL of those paths led to a rather shortened lifespan.

Now... at least in the western world, unless we specifically speak up and make an issue of ourselves, we can largely "fly under the radar" -- and moreover, via the many advances in technology can (if one is smart, savvy & a bit frugal and so chooses) obtain essential independence and virtually anything/everything you want, as well as own and maintain it with a modicum of disciplined effort (and a minimum of indenture/slavery to others via taxes) -- or alternately one can choose to minimize one's consumption and travel & play in a fashion and to an extent never previously possible, indeed only recently imaginable.

As for the "wife & kids" and all of the romantic notions relative to that -- well those have always been at least as much a burden as a benefit (and the latter often imaginary, and only rarely a net positive) -- affection and gratitude and even "cooperation" or respect between humans (arguably especially family) has always been a rather "fickle" thing, even when & where it does exist (and honestly so, rather than merely a means of manipulation), it seldom endures for long.

And that isn't "cynicism", it's simple reality -- testified to by virtually ALL of human literature (fictional or non-fictional) across history -- the people who attempt to spin it otherwise often engaging in wholesale delusion (of their own self as much as to convince themselves).

My only goals are to have the land/house I want so I can live the way I want to and retire in peace.

Too many people are caught up in the fast line, various social trends, and the over all rat race.

Right now I'm poor, I will be turning that around. Had this been any other time period I would have ended up as some type of slave or living in the wilderness/frontier because of my family's needs/debts.

MGTOW is a spectrum. At it's most basic, MGTOW is just being aware that the cards are hugely stacked against you as a man to get married and have kids. That information comes from raw divorce and custody statistics as well as a wealth of anecdotal stories of disenfranchised men in many countries.. not just USA. And doing so can decimate you morally, emotionally and financially. So then it is up to the man to weigh the pros and cons and decide for himself. But the decision is informed. Not just blindly getting involved with women thinking there are no negatives. MGTOW can go much deeper where, on the extreme, some men decide to remove themselves economically, because they view the tax system as geared to oppress them by robbing them of their money to finance government programs that take opportunities away from them for the sake of women in the name of affirmative action quotas, as well as rescue women from the consequences of their poor lifestyle choices. There are many reasons to isolate yourself from women. No man who got fucked over by a chick saw it coming. Some girls throw red flags but some don't. And sometimes men ignore the red flags. If you know what kind of power women have and you know that you have a tendency to subconsciously ignore red flags then the only logical choice would be to avoid women. With that being said, women cannot live without men yet the feminist despise us? Oh the irony. But being a MGTOW, I have never been so happy in my entire life. Been MGTOW for 6 years now. I'm rich from saving up money and being single, hook up with all the girls and I want without any attachment as well. I never feel like a robotic human being controlled by some girl. It's not a game what so ever so there is no victory. MGTOW is about acting rational with the knowledge that there is absolutely no benefit for men left in the western culture. But if you want to look at it from the standpoint of a game. Look at Japan and the herbivore men/grass eaters for example. The MGTOWs of japan. The government is practically bribing men to go back into the plantation because they're so scared the whole country is going to be extinct. But what does it matter right? We are born alone, and we all die alone. Even if you're married. That's life.

What do you consider the winning conditions to be? I'd say just about all people who resort to MGTOW have lost something. My winning scenario would be to have an awesome wife that respects me and have maybe have a completely different view on having children. Maybe I'd actually have children.

Right now I have no wife, no girlfriend, no prospects, no phone numbers. I don't even know where to go from there. Am I winning? I've slept with 5 women in my life but you'd probably all consider me a TFLer since its been 8 years since my last time.
