TRP is absolutely not about how many women you can fuck in one night. TRP is all about self actualization, confidence, becoming a better man, and reaching goals to better oneself. It's really not about women at all, however a nice side effect of TRP is that women inherently find a confident, intelligent man (an "alpha" by definition) incredibly attractive and Redpillers can take advantage of it through game.

In similar respects, MGTOW and TRP are a lot alike. It's all about making yourself a better person. However it's very easy for a new member on TRP to make women his goal, instead of himself. He misses the mark altogether. So to your point OP, I say TRP can be "distracting" and can be misguiding, but absolutely necessary for all men.

Yeah, I had expected the forum to be far better than that (more like MGTOW tbh). But my first visit was a cringe-fest. Its basically just a PUA advice forum for socially awkward & inexperienced young men. Their little names they use.. "spinning plates" "oh my plate this, that, etc". I couldn't take it.

I think it's harmful because of the incorrect view of male dominance that it propagates. Mastery and abuse are different things. Naturally dominant men don't need to put in half the amount of abusive effort that TRP recommends.

They also conflate alpha traits (physical endowments which cannot be earned) with dominant comportment (mentality and thought process that can be learned).

Furthermore, these men seem very distraught, and they think they have a right to sex from multiple women -- they want the perks of being an economically powerful male without having the affluence to back it up.

This mixture of desires for things that they do not merit, and the resultant brooding over the fact that they aren't getting it, and the ever-intensifying level of time and dedication to transforming yourself into something abnormal in order to accomplish something that they believe they are entitled to (when they are not) is very disturbing.

I've been lurking around the TRP subreddit, and I don't get that vibe at all. Lots of guys like the idea of having way more sex than the average bloke, but the basic idea is "be a better man if you want women to be into you". Not necessarily that you should be a better man so that women will be into you (and you can get laid). It's seems like more of a side-effect than the main goal (unless you're a guy who's main goal is to bang a lot).

Having said that, a lot of guys seem to fall into the "fuck as much as possible" camp. I'm not going to look down on anyone for wanting that and making smart choices to make it achieve their goal. You might see the method as severe, but it gets the job done, and that's what matters to the guys who want it.

I don't view it like that. I view RP as something potentially very dangerous, in the wrong hands, but potentially life saving and life altering, in the hands of someone whose ready for it. RP is a tool, whether its good or bad is up to the person who uses it.

Subreddit TRP may be over-focused but that doesn't mean the rest of the red pill outside of Reddit is.

Don't be fooled - if you're not looking at migration, finance, war, fraud, trafficking weapons and drugs, the legalities of gender influence in social engineering and how this affects mating, offspring, and don't forget pharmaceuticals including the birth control pill but ALSO all the hormone-mimicking chemicals in the water...

Red Pill is for young guys who still have the extra 'drive'. MGTOW seems to be older men who are passing the need to chase tails.Also at Red Pill the main goal is to remove the illusions about sexual interactions. MGTOW sees sex as one tree in a forest of cultural Marxist/Feminist illusions.Both sites are inherently about self improvement.Give the guys at red Pill a few years and most will decide to LTR or MGTOW,and they will eventually look further down the rabbit hole.

I think pursuing women for sex is stupid. So the focus on sexual strategies is just more gynocentricism to me. I do not care what would work. I think it's a waste of time. If you must do it, I would consider some kind of paid transaction where legal. Is TRP damaging? Not in and of itself. The discussion of female nature is often spot on, unavailable thru conventional channels, and worth investigating for many men.

If you mean /r/theredpill then I think it's largely neutral. I think more than half of the people on that sub are desperate for pussy and are willing to do anything they have to do to get it.

The obsessive focus on PUA bullshit and Alpha / Beta traits is pure masturbation. The core values of self-improvement and owning your shit are masculine values and worthy of praise.

It's kind of sad because so many of the desperate men on TRP could really benefit by getting laid more if they went MGTOW and stopped giving a fuck about women.

You obviously have not read the suggested sidebar material in TRP. You have based your opinion on a few posts you skimmed across. There are some people that post their latest sexual conquests but they just don't get what TRP is. They are too young and just like you have not read and fully absorbed the reading material. It's called "confirmation bias". I follow this sub as well as TRP and they compliment each other very well. Before you criticize actually do your homework.

TRP isn't about fucking women; it's about understanding sexual strategy.

You can deploy that knowledge to maximize your number of ONS. You can deploy that knowledge to have a smoother LTR with one woman. You can deploy that knowledge as a precaution and go MGTOW (during which it will also be a source of amusement.)

Those are all valid uses, and I bet that over the years a lot of guys will alternate between categories.

Just don't ignore TRP, go back to being an AFC, and get divorce raped.

No, 90% of the articles are regarding how to cope with female nature - how to get women, how to manage them, how not to suffer from them. How to recognize and deal with their little games. How not to overemphasize the importance of women.

OP perhaps dislikes some percentage of the content for unknown reasons ( too Puritan for PUA? Too Blue Pill to see women clearly? ) and so lashes out at TRP.

This may sound whiny, but honestly I've been red pill sice I can remember basically, I didn't know the terminology back then but had most of the topics covered myself, but some of the things I've discovered more recently have kinda made me suicidal and existentialistic?
