I can definitely see how one would get that impression, and that's due to a few different reasons.

Firstly, MGTOW is a fairly new idea/way of thinking about the interaction of the sexes. There are a lot of people feeling out what it means to be MGTOW.

Second, MGTOW is attracting men who've been burned in ways that are truly terrible by women, and the system that supports their actions. It's very tough to be chewed up and spit out without being bitter and angry.

One last thing, as it relates to MGTOW - I've seen two of my close (male) friends get cheated on while married, and their wives both had 'justifications' for it. I personally, lost most of my posessions, and ended up homeless due to a live-in gf who cheated, and got pregnant by another man. (dont feel too bad for me, I had a few 'encounters' with other women, but none involved PIV sex, but I learned my lesson) At the end of the day, the system has created a perverse incentive for women to do whatever they want. (There's A LONG story for each of these guys, but I dont want to make this post too long).

I like that MGTOW promotes bettering of the self. I've gotten into Søren Kierkegaard's writings recently. I also took up the bass guitar a couple of years ago. I think this aspect of MGTOW needs to be emphasized more in the MGTOW community.

I don't post here much because of exactly what you're describing. There's a lot of bitching and complaining about others - mostly women and TRP. There are, however, some good posts from time to time, so I lurk and read a lot.

I know my opinion isn't worth a whole hell of a lot, but I dont hate women. I think it's possible to have a healthy [long-term] relationship with a woman. However, people change and grow apart, and even if you end a relationship (or marriage) with a woman amicably, the law is on her side, and you're likely to be paying for a divorce for the rest of your life.

I have a bit more of a traditional view of the world, and I view TRP as devaluing to men, women, and relationships as a whole, so I don't buy into their crap.

Once you get beyond the bitterness of those who bought into modern feminist marriage only to discover that it was actually a modern lie, you can start to appreciate traditional thoughts on marriage. MGTOW is really not all bad, and I hope that sometime in the future the focus shifts from the bitter and angry to the constructive, intellectual, and introspective thing that MGTOW has the potential to be.

There's nothing weak or insecure about responding to criticism. It's how you improve and become stronger. It is the person who believes themselves above criticism who is truly insecure. MGTOW don't hate women,. We just don't worship them.

I'll give it a go. The anger and resentment you observe serves to keep the unsympathetic away..It's like an abused child covering himself in shit.These are men that are hurt and they seek isolation and safety in brotherhood. They have learned to prefer this over a nurturing female relationship because they now subconsciously react to the object of attraction as a trap, a mistrustful figure representing betrayal.,

Most MGTOW are sensitive caring men, good sons, whose trust and selflessness natures where betrayed by the people they love or thought they loved..Most of the abuse was subtle and so deeply ingrained in our culture that people doing it don't even see it as abuse.

The MGTOW phenomena is growing rapidly and over represented in the Black community..I believe this may stem from the explosion in single motherhood..The unspoken reality is that many women use their sons in an emotional abusive way as surrogate mates..This damages the development of a healthy male identity..The mother sub consciously seduces the son through emotional manipulation rewarding the him when he is attentive to her emotionally needs..

Anyways there are a lot of men that have been conditioned to put a women's desires and needs before their own. In the primary relationship with their mother they learned such attentiveness is rewarded with affection and approval.

These men grow up and find there selfless natures are not respected or admired as they where taught.. Instead of being awarded for being good boy their despised. The women they find attractive see their deference and attentiveness as weak and unattractive..

Thus a deep sense of betrayal emerges as they become aware their needs and desires will not be meet. That learn that everything they where taught about female male relations is a lie..

Even worse women raised in the same culture assume the emotional entitlement they see in maternal emotional abuser. Even if the abuse is perpetrated on the female this girl child grows into a identity based on the mothers behavior becoming a subconscious abuser as well. The gender role animosity is coming from both sexes but like the mothers abuse the female side is subtle,passive and deniable..

Anyways that's my take..

Nothing about hate:

Just do what you want and don't compromise what you want for what someone else wants or expects from you, otherwise you realize that it'll just compromise whatever it is you're aiming to achieve.

It's like you're a bacon chef being asked to become a vegetarian to "get all your dreams". Wake up, compromising isn't the way to have a happy, long, wealthy life.

Isn't the outcome that produces the most happiness the most ethical choice?

Therefore, doing what ensures you are the best you can be, and happy, is the ethical thing to do (that was written by a woman 100 years ago, almost verbatim, a hero of mine).

So, forget what you've seen, also, people being weak? News for you, 95% of people are weak and stupid, so no surprises that you've seen that. So disregard and just read my comment a second time.

no, really it doesn't which means you don't want to understand or be helped at all.

What MGTOW really is can only build a man's strength & freedom, and to do so requires to accept what is true & false about the world and what is yet unknown, decisions to make, to face individually, however many minutes or decades that takes.

Part of that is admitting the nasty harm done to men by women, or by the laws of a nation in which women live & then use those laws to exploit men. One can just as easily say how women are exploited in Saudi Arabia or Congo or some place by laws & men exploiting them - but since we are men we just don't care so we don't mention it. It doesn't make it right or untrue but it's of lesser concern to us men.
