Clearly there is lots of money to be made telling women how they’ve “come of age” and are such perfect creatures now, and how men are still emotionally and mentally prehistoric. I think the manginas of the world have found their god here. No, women are not saying no to marriage. Women want marriage more than men do now, and women can’t get men to commit. The relevant stories about the situation ask “where have all the good men gone”? Feminism and anti-male family law and divorce courts have made marriage into a minefield of unacceptable risk for any sensible man. With no fault divorce, women walk away from marriage 4 times more often than men do – and why not? The divorce industry serves them well. No, I am not pining for the affection of some “strong independent woman” ™ but instead encourage these women to STAY SINGLE and perhaps stick with cats – they’re too independent and selfish to make good partners anyways. I, like so many other men like me, am avoiding dating and marriage completely now.

Yes, Tom. I honestly have no idea how that author could have penned that article when all evidence is to the contrary. It’s MGOTW, not womentow. It is men that are avoiding marriage, not women.

Is it some type of retaliatory attack, an attempt to continue to promulgate the lie that women do not need men? I’m not sure yet, but I suppose one could look at the empirical data and draw any conclusion they want when they see the number of unmarried women today, but have they actually talked to the women? I have, I still do. Some of the better coaches here do also, and I will tell you that it is not by choice.

No one hits 10k shares on this site, or I should say very, very few. I’ve penned one article here thus far (more to come I assure you). That was a discussion with women in their 30s and 40s that attempted to help them find better ways to communicate with men and hopefully find that relationship they so desperately seek. It popped 5k overnight and topped out at 13k. I was then invited to speak to women on the subject and what I found was good, decent, caring women that have been left in the dark, lost in wondering why they cannot form a lasting relationship with men.

Conversely, in speaking with a small group of men in their 30s, I found something very different. First is that they are not at all desperate and lonely. Not these guys. They were actually very cheerful and positive, and the conversation was typically male, with all the comedy and ribbing that we usually engage in. They are not at all neglecting their health and walking around in rags because they are unable to care for themselves either. And contrary to the usual dogmatic assumptions, not one word of women or women’s parts, sexual conquest or any of that other nonsense born in the funny papers entered into the conversation.

To the contrary, these guys were talking about life and their futures. They had it together. They were sharp dressed, had their careers in order, new cars, homes, plenty of female company when they desired, even planned group vacations together. They were, again, contrary to popular belief, extremely health conscious (going to the gym, eating healthy, getting their yearly physicals ect), and all having no plans to get married.

When I asked, they almost unanimously pointed at the one friend that was not sitting in the group, but over on the side giving his attention to the daughter that he gets to see for a few hours every other weekend, while living in his mom’s (literally, this guy was) basement, supporting his ex wife and her new boyfriend while they raised his daughter. That is the guy we hear about here, the man in quiet desperation not the MGTOW men.

These men have already moved on. They are, in my opinion, healthy and happy for exactly the reasons that Dr. Hellen Smith contended in her recent book, “men on strike”. They are not making the wrong choice, but the correct choice after considering all possibilities. They are astute, and they are ignoring and turning away from a toxic society, from an institution that offers no advantage that they cannot assume on their own, but holds the possibility of catastrophic results.

Out on the internet, where I have opportunity to read and interact with a great many men that sentiment is beginning to echo across the board. Our boys are in trouble today, but only those boys that have bought into the guilt, that are out there chasing the illusion of masculinity, trying to measure up to a standard that does not exist, that we masculine men roll our eyes at, because even we know that it is not at all masculinity but a unicorn.

That is the new class of male that no one wants to talk about, because they are healthy in spite of, or because of their choices. And they’ve made a choice, that with no help from us, only experiencing negativity such as we see here, are simply turning away from society and finding their own happiness in themselves and small groups of like-minded men (the rebuilding of male community in spite of society’s deconstruction of such).

That, in a nutshell, is what is about to emerge. It is why men are not getting married, and why I do not buy, not for one second, the author’s assertion that women are avoiding marriage. Good women want men back to the table, and they are as much, deer in the headlights, as is society.

Difference is that they are innocent of all of this. They too believed in society, the trends, that they could have it all, were invincible and empowered…and now they are alone and no one cares about them any more than we do our boys, except to use them as cannon fodder to fire at men in an imaginary war of genders fueled by a pipeline of hate and blame.

We will lose a lot of boys in the process. No doubt there. Many boys will be consumed in the quagmire, but that too will only come back to harm us because this society, no society can exist without men in the basement holding up the foundation.

Personally, I’m fascinated by all of this, and I really can’t wait to see how it all pans out, if we, this society gets its act together or if we keep marching toward the cliff banging that tired old drum. In the meantime, things are great for women, but its short lived high. Being able to survive economically without a man is not empowerment, its just living and nothing more.

It’s not only our men. We’ve fed our women a load of shit and called it ice-cream …and that just sucks. We’ve learned nothing.

I think women are way more angry,depressed and lonely than men,because contrary to what most people think,men don't need marriage as much as women do.We can be perfectly happy being single at our 40s,but if a woman hasn't married until her 30s,she will become a cat lady.

Don’t you see that it is man shaming? Yet another attempt to avoided accountability? Toxic masculinity is an unacceptable term to men today, and it is, after all, their movement. It has not been elected, but labeled upon them and it has become an excuse, morphed into avoiding social responsibility by turning it into yet more dogma about all men harming all women, rather then what has been done to them. It has become little more than blame, shame, and attack on men as we see here, while avoiding both social, feminine, and feminist involvement in the boxing process.

Again, who is raising our boys, and what have all the studies, unanimously agreed upon in regard to how that has not helped, but harmed men. Not toxic masculinity, but the lack of honorable masculine teaching and initiation into manhood.

How is speaking to men’s rights victim standing? Do you not believe that exiling fathers from their children in 85% of cases is not victimizing men, especially when that is the root cause of the problem? Do you not believe that the glaring lack of serviced for male victims, that seeking to blame them is not victimizing them? Do you not see that blaming men in need, as has been done in these comments, rather than reaching out, supporting what they say they need, is feeding the problem?

It is a self-perpetuating myth that is in need of unraveling, and that is what we good men are doing when we stand up to such inappropriate accusations and man hate that we see here, that continues to cloud the issues that we men need to address, for us.

Don’t get me wrong. Seeing it grants us opportunity to confront it, and we will, because this movement is form men, not against them. That is the game. If you wish to help, jump on board. If not, stay on shore, but the movement is not going to be redirected, again. If the attacks come, they will be challenged, and challenged with accurate information. Of that you can be certain.

Yet you really have to wonder for a moment. If men acquire all these social skills, skills of emotional self-sufficiency, personal responsibility skills, homemaking skills, "emotional intimacy skills" (whatever the fwak that means), and "thoughtfulness" without relating to women, why does he need to bother with women?

The whole idea behind self sufficiency, unless I am mistaken, is that you are very well self contained. You have found the balance within yourself to the point where more people just complicate the thing. And at that point, you start to ask the question, "what value would a sexual relationship, an intimate relationship, really give to me at this point?, versus what is taken away?"

The women on that article say that they don't want to deal with a man's emotions and social health, that women "cannot fix" the "shallowness" of a man's inner life. The truth is, they've always been bad at fixing it and they never did much other than glom on and acquire whatever emotional and social capital men forged for themselves. A shrink costs less anyway.

Frankly, I think this whole feminine solution to male problems, the "circle of friends," the "emotional skills", and the reliance on doctors and professionals says less about what ails man, and more about what ails woman. For it seems that men, in general, do not need the vast circle of friends, the emotional skills and the professionals; we are rather self contained. We have also not invented words like "frenemies" and "BFFs"; we simply do not feel the need to micro-manage how we relate to everyone.

The trick is for men to value their solitude and quit measuring their self worth by standards that women set for themselves. That is what is missing.
