My brother is a welder. He loves his job and his quite good at it. I'm more of an intellectual, and am finishing my AS degree. He tells me every single day how "a man must work...you're not a man if you don't work" he won't stop giving me examples of why he is superior to other men who don't work. I told him that I believe in self development. Work can build character but for me I rather finish a master's degree and see where I go from there...I don't have the answer to life or its purpose. What is this philosophical schism we have? Are the two points of view irreconcilable?
