No. I found physical collection to be a sort of possession-burden, creating that consumer itch out of a trivial absence. I'm slowly whittling down my possessions. The digital age is a nice replacement for physical collecting. Easy these days to store a ton of albums on free redundant servers across multiple services.

I'm not trying to be some bare walls and futon modern ascetic, but I prefer instead to have the things I need at hand, rather than making space for things I found myself bored with and surprisingly happy to be rid of when they were gone.

no but you reminded me of a stand up comedian who said he collects 20k (HUF) banknotes (around $72) and he already has 3 but the serial number on two are identical and asked the crowd if anyone wanted to swap...

I have a thing for salt and pepper shakers. My collection is small, 5 sets. Can't wait to be able to take them out of storage and display them.

Yes... gems and minerals, records, art, nice editions of some books, shells, tee shirts, turns of phrase, and travel memories.

Mostly old video games and albums stuff I liked as a kid. I hate digital because that digital copy can be taken away at anytime like if itunes shutdown Rest in peace all the music you bought your never gonna see it again

rock posters. I have a decent collection. 6 original led zep posters from before 1976. pink floyd from 1967 with syd barrett. also 1972 and the famous girl/album pink floyd poster. jimi hendrix from 1968, 1969 and 1970. Jim Morrison poster from 1968. Janis Joplin nude poster :P i assume from 1969 or 1970. have others too. Planning on framing the best ones.

Videogame mods. They're online but sometimes they get taken down. I batch them up so they become easier to install.
Music in flac.
Ebooks in .epub. I collect .prc and .pdf too since they're convertible.
Ski/Snowboard lift passes and movie tickets.

I used to collect statues and have 1 custom figure. I'm thinking about making my own figures/statues with the help of 3d printing or straight clay. I have some clay but I'm not good at working with the medium yet.

Vinyl records. You find the odd one worth a mint and stuff that never made it to cassette/CD that is worth listening to. Its similar to being a jazz or RnB musician in that this habit is socially acceptable at any age (in case you are in a situation where what you admit to spending your time on will be judged).
