When it started becoming "cool" to go to comic-con.

Women only flock to something when it's finally perceived to be cool so they can then invade and garner the attention whoring they crave while at the same time altering the landscape making it a "safe space" for themselves, while alienating those that went that were always ridiculed for going before it was cool.

It's been the same way for all male dominated hobbies that weren't masculine enough for men.

Of course the nerds eat it up and allow their environment to be invaded because they fall into the trope of men who allow women to walk all over them while turning against each other.

Its the same thing at Halloween parties, they just want to draw attention to themselves, so its basically a competition who can be the sluttiest.

I've always wanted to go to comic con. But not as a cosplay. I'm an illustrator and my dream is to one create a comic book of my own and get a booth there. That's the only thing that would make me go.

Pumpkin spice latte by stardusk. Great video on why if you can make a trend you'll be rich. Because women love trends more than life itself.

I think the invasion/influx of women really peaked sometime between the hype and build for the various Twilight movies and the David Tennant and Matt Smith era of Doctor Who.

This is another example of women invading male spaces. The only thing I haven't seen women invade yet is something like the Yugioh TCG regional events. I don't know what it is about card games like Yugioh and Magic The Gathering, but they repel women more than anything else I've seen.

Comic Con became a front for attention whores because it became popular, cool and financially profitable.

Women are all about money and status. A few decades ago, Comic Con had neither. Back then, women and girls would shame and bully those of us who were into these sorts of things.

Now, because there is money and status involved, because its cool to be geeky and nerdy, women and girls flood the scene, provide nothing more than trivial sexual eye-candy and demand the space be modified to suit them.

This is a cycle that has repeated itself too many times now. Comic Con and by extension Comic Culture is just a victim of it.

It's kind of sad that the subcultures that were once unabashedly male have sort of turned into strip clubs. It's happened to comics, and it's slowly happening to extreme metal too. It's bloody sad.

My friend and I worked at two comic-cons a couple years back, and not once did I see those sexy, big-titted hotties in 5 star Hinata or Bulma or whatever costumes that were excellently made and thought out.

I saw a lot of fat and completely undesirable girls dressing up for attention and validation. The sexy girls who looked legit were either company plants handing out flyers for whatever event or product they're trying to move, or also working at the con as models and "hob-knobbers".

Most of women who attend at this events are attention seeking.I go to a lot of anime conventions every year and see lots of girls who doesn't know shit about animes or games,dressing up and being surrounded and idolized by betas.

The problem is now that slutty dressed women have invaded they get pissed that nerdy types with no female experience stare hard and these bitches get rules made and guys kicked out.
