I fall asleep in the couch often.

The only reason I wouldn’t go to the couch if I lived with a girl is she doesn’t get to make ultimatums. I sleep where I want to sleep, or else she gets the hose again.

That was one good thing about my ex. When we'd fight, she'd go downstairs to the couch. My house, my bed, my rules.

I've had that argument with both my ex-wives. My response with both was "I paid for the bed. I'm sleeping in the bed. If you don't like it, you can go sleep on the couch yourself." Neither did, and I seem to remember getting woken up by being ridden for sex one of those nights. For weeks after, I acted like I was still pissed. Both walked on eggshells and apologized often.
