Fear of not finding someone I (31F) am at a point where I fear I might never find someone in my lifetime. I have the worst luck imaginable with the opposite sex. The recent men I have tried to date say they want something long term in their profiles but after several dates, I get hit with some excuse and get dropped like a hat. It sucks and it hurts. I understand that I might’ve not been their type after all. And that’s ok. But I just don’t get it. It saddens me because I know I have so much to offer someone. I’m decently cute, a veteran, full-time student almost done with my undergrad, gainfully employed, and somewhat of a comic. I love making people laugh. There are times where I just want to throw my hands up and just throw in the towel, but somewhere deep down, a small part of me has a sliver of hope that I will eventually meet someone who genuinely is looking for the same. I just want to stop feeling that I’m not good enough for someone. (Which lately, mountain biking in the afternoons has helped curb those types of thoughts). I have a huge heart but this heart of mine hasn’t had time to catch a break with all the disappointment it’s received in the past. I want to smile more rather than tear up when I think about it. Anywho, I needed to vent. So to anyone reading, thanks for reading
