I was rereading the side bar, and I really like the part where it says that in truth we as men don't need children. I'd like to pursue a life where I am the caregiver of myself and myself only, but the question is: doesn't it get boring eventually?

Right now I am one to talk, as I don't have the money. But let's say I will have the money, won't the sport car, apartment, trips, and material possessions, become less and less interesting?

What projects do 30+ men here have? What do they pursue? Because in real life I see very industrious men who simply claim to be like that because 'they do it for their kids'. Maybe it's the way we've been brainwashed to take the role of the provider. It just seems that having kids is a very powerful motivator to get out of bed every morning, to endure more discomfort, difficulties. Is this true? And if it is what else can give this type of motivation?
