Women always have other options lined up. She was seeing who'd commit first. Despite what you read on here from people fantasizing, it is extremely rare for a woman to go for the kind of arrangement you had (or thought you had) when you got back together. If she wants to get married, she'll look for someone who'll marry her. You didn't want to so she chose him. And generally speaking, laying out explicit terms, making promises, and detailing who can do what is pointless. You're not dealing with logical creatures and they don't play by whatever rules you think you are establishing.

Makes sense to me. She had a prospect on the hook who might invest. But she probably wanted to be with you from all the time invested so she made a last ditch effort to see if she can reel you in.

She probably thought hey maybe this guy just wants to fool around for a couple months with different chicks and after that he will finally grow up and want to settle down. Let me try one more shot while branch swinging, it cant hurt.

This is what we mean when we say that women have a pluralistic mating strategy - she wants the Alpha dominance and the Beta comfort and seeking that out in more than one guy is seen by most women as a perfectly acceptable option. If she’s marriage oriented, she’s trying to find the best possible option for a mate and get him to commit. She was about to branch swing to this other dude but wanted to make sure he was a solid option before focusing on him exclusively.

He entered the picture before you realize and that was her catalyst to start the marriage talk in the first place. There’s a guy on relationship advice that made a recent post that I’ve been commenting on. His girlfriend of 4 years started bringing up marriage out of the blue and I’m commenting on the fact that another guy was the catalyst for her behavior and he just doesn’t see it. And ofcourse I’m getting down voted and disagreed with. But I’m right.

You seems like a dude who don't understand what a LTR is. You got TRP ideas wrong my friend. LTR's are TRP in hardcore mode. You can't be alpha 100% of the time. You can't expect her not to be with other people if you're doing the same.

Your SMV was never high enough to for this half-open LTR. That's where the problem was.

If you had high enough SMV, she would not have dumped you for not marrying her. Instead, you were in the "chump provider" range. What's the value to her of keeping a chump provider who won't fully commit? Nothing whatsoever.

She got back together with you for dick and free meals. Despite her words, she had no real motivation to give you exclusivity, especially after learning that she couldn't reel her chump provider back in.

Time to start pumping iron and following your mission.
