I'm not sure if this is an "inner game" issue, an actual SMV issue I should work on, or both. When I'm cold approaching attractive girls, I start to doubt myself due to my lack of a social life.

Some background:

  • I'm in my mid-20s and moved to a big city for work about a year ago, I didn't know anyone here.
  • Career-wise I'm doing pretty well and making good money. I work about 45 hours a week which is more than average, but still have time to work on self-improvement and game.
  • I lift 3 times a week and am pretty fit, though more on the lean side
  • In terms of hobbies I'm focusing on learning dance which probably takes up 4 hours a week.
  • I'm a beginner to "game". Spent a lot of last year reading theory and books like Bang/Day Bang

One area I'm massively lacking in is a social life. Work, lifting, learning dance, and miscellaneous life errands take up a lot of my time and energy. (and approaching will take up a good amount of time too once the lockdown is lifted)

To be honest, I'm more of an introvert and this doesn't bother me that much outside of confidence during approaches, so I haven't been that motivated to build a better social life either. My perspective on making new friends since moving here has been "if I happen to make a few friends, awesome. Otherwise, I still have my family and friends back home"

However, when I talk to attractive girls, I don't feel like I'm conveying a cool lifestyle that she'd want to be a part of. There are tons of guys out there who not only have social circles filled with other attractive men and women, but go to cool parties and outings all the time. Attractive girls will always have guys like this going after them so it makes me feel like they have no reason to choose me.

So my question to you guys is, am I overestimating the importance of social life in terms of attracting girls? Or should I start putting in the effort to build a good social circle just so I can convey a more attractive lifestyle?
