LVM always say they want a woman who is “intelligent” but I never see any evidence of this

Many reasons:

1) Male ego: A woman can't be too intelligent

2) Misogyny: Women can't be successful

3) Domination tactics: Using intellect to gaslight women. They can't do this with intelligent women.

4) Abusive tendency: You can't abuse an intelligent person

5) Insecurity

6) Agenda: They want to control women, intelligence is a deterrent

7) Patriarchal nonsense: Women for hearth

8) Independence: An intelligent woman is much more likely to dump him

9) Red flags: Intelligent women can sense red flags

10) Objectification: They want dumb barbie dolls

11) Dehumanisation: If you can't value intellect, then you most definitely aren't looking for a human anyway. Humans are most intelligent species and intelligent women are no different.

12) Psychological warfare: They know they can't win. They can't manipulate her.

I fit the "intelligent and beautiful" criteria and it's a mess. I get sexualized and objectified just for being like this.

They treat me as a trophy to pump and dump. I'm smart enough to see right through it and it irks them to NO END!

Smart women are too smart to settle for them. They probably tell any women dumb enough to settle for them that they're smart.

Sadly I've almost noticed that dumber guys are fine dating intelligent women whereas smart men don't want to date a woman smarter than them. Maybe it's because the dumb guy doesn't pride himself on his intelligence so when you say something he didn't know he's just like "how cool, you're so smart", but the guy who prides himself on his intelligence fumes and ends up saying "you make me feel dumb".

I think not, unless they equate "women's intelligence" to be something entirely different than "men's intelligence".

I recall how many of the "smart girls" in my high school graduating class wound up in "women's work" jobs or as stay-at-home-moms. Their own parents pressured them into these jobs so they could "land a man".

I'm going to say something that may sound a little pessimistic but by intelligent, some men really mean "I want her to read my mind and cater to my every need".
