Just date with this air of "I'll only sleep with you if I invite you to my bedroom". Be assertive. You don't have to give an explanation as to why you're not sleeping with him. He isn't entitled to your body.

You have sex only when you want to, when you are ready, when you are in a good mental state, not influenced by alcohol or loneliness. You don't have to explain shit to men.

There is really no point revealing your hand to men you barely know. If you tell them they have to wait, if you're lucky they'll leave you alone, if you're unlucky, they'll use that information against you.

I think the best way, is to just not have sex until you're ready and don't explain it.

I used to say things like, I haven't been with anyone in a really long time because I'm waiting to have a real emotional connection, and that just starts unnecessary conflicts and manipulations.

If you tell him he has to wait he's just going to wait until he gets it bc he sees an end goal/time. Show don't tell means you don't say anything and just... don't have sex. If you verbalize it you're only confirming he's getting it but its only a matter of when, and saying so actually makes you look lv.
