I’m really proud of all of you that make the decision to leave the losers you’ve invested so much into, but I beg of you, please remember to stay safe and take precautions when deciding to end things. Do it in a public space, tell people what you plan to do, have friends stick around the area, move your stuff before he gets home, change the locks beforehand etc.

Even if there is no history of domestic violence, you can never be too careful. Men’s behavior can be unpredictable if they feel desperate and out of control and especially so if they abuse drugs or alcohol.

There are countless stories of women that were taking their first steps towards freedom only to be beaten, disfigured, maimed, and murdered at the hands of the man they were leaving. And I’m sick of hearing about them.
