It turns out being single actually makes you happier and improves basically every single aspect of your life. Here's what science has to say:
1. Being single enhances psychological growth.
people who remain single have an increased sense of self-determination.
single people also experience ongoing self-development and growth compared to most married couples.
single people value meaningful work more than married people do
the more self-sufficient single people are, the less likely they are to experience negative emotions. For married people, just the opposite is true.
2. Single people are typically more fit.
Married couples tend to eat better than single people. However, single people do more sports and weigh significantly less.
postmenopausal women between 50–79 years old who remained single for longer periods of time gain less weight, have a greater decrease in diastolic blood pressure, and drink less alcohol than women who are married.
3. Being unattached makes women more creative and productive.
Single women who remain unattached for a long time experience a boost in creativity and productivity.
solitude heightens mental states like freedom, intimacy, and self-reliance.
4. Single women nurture better social connections.
single people are more likely to stay in touch with their intimate circle
Single women are able to provide more help to their parents, siblings, and friends
having a close-knit circle enhances longevity and improves overall health
5. Single women sleep longer and better.
single women sleep better than those who have partners.
Single people sleep an average of 7.13 hours per night, more than people who are in a relationship, divorced, or widowed
Co-sleeping isn’t ideal, with some research showing co-sleeping is particularly harmful for women

This is why I don’t believe men should even be the centerfold of a woman’s life. Romance, love, and the mushy propaganda women have been fed isn’t real. Relationships are not beneficial to women.
Women take on the majority of the domestic and emotional labor. Studies have proven women are more mentally, emotionally, and physically unhealthy after marriage or a LTR with a man.
Being single, having a fulfilling social life, solid career, steady group of friends, fulfilling hobbies and interests, while entertaining men as more of an accessory to woman’s life (instead of the the main course) is the key to happiness.

THIS. Too many women still see finding a man as somehow fundamental to their existence. It's not. You can live a wonderful life without ANY romantic or sexual relationship with men. It's sad how many women see a relationship with a man as a life goal still.

This is all 100% true and I've realized recently how completely grateful I am that I never had a real LTR in my teens or 20's (so far). It has really made me introspective, self reflective and an incredibly self aware person. I never would have become who I am today if I had been in a relationship. I look at my friends who spent 5,7 or even 10 years of their 20's in relationships - I used to be envious, but fuck that. I got to experience these crucial years fully and uninhibited.
These days I'm looking to find someone to settle down with and I always thought of it as a negative that I had been single most of my life, but now I'm SO thankful for the freedom I had to become the amazing woman I am now.
