I know it can also apply to men, but let's focus on women for a moment.

I recently posted a question on a programming subreddit posing as a women in order to test a theory. A couple of women intervened to comment so I decided to start throwing stuff like "you know girls, this guy doesn't want to help me in spite of me trying to act all nice to him or show a little cleavage and such"

They were outraged so I escalated to the point that they categorically denied every wearing make up, dressing well or ever trying to get it "easy" at work by using their bodies.

I've worked in IT for 15 years, and tossing aside the ugly females, those "average" are as sexualized as any other. What's even worse, by being surrounded by nerds, their job is even easier.

And still, both men and women in that reddit post were outraged at the fact that "I, as a woman, was complaining that a certain nerd wouldn't help me in spite of me flaunting my body with him".

We all know it, they know it, so why the fuck do they deny they do it???
