What do you ladies think about this kind of thing? I personally think there is something else going on but it could be genuine? Looking for other perspectives.

I mean I think it's weird that they choose to hyper focus on her relationship with her partner. I'm disabled myself and I personally would never allow my significant other to take care of me like that. Thats what a nurse is for. He's basically taking on the role of her parent which to me is a really weird dynamic. It also opens the door for resentment later on. I kind of get fetishization vibes. I think this guy gets off on her powerlessness and her being dependent on him. I also really dislike channels like these that capitalisize on disabled people. They're basically exploiting them for "inspiration porn". I'm sure what they make from these videos far exceeds what they pay them, if they get paid at all.

But as a carer... he gets the $. He’s in control. (He wants to be an author. Random...) Her friends even questioned it—they think he had an ulterior motive.

((I will tell you that a close friend said that she pushed all her friends away that said she was in an abusive relationship until it got worse—he started hitting her. She left.)

I agree that it could be a codependent thing. If it’s healthy for them ehhh but I would worry she’s so isolated and reliant on him... and a HVM would make sure she had plenty of outside connections.

I am scared for this woman. Shes putting way too much trust into him and being very vulnerable with him. Hes also getting paid for it and he has no real job ambitions... I mean an author? Come on. You need something real to pay your Bill's my guy? Work a real full time job and write in the side. I agree that it could be that he has a fetish but I also see a lvm who has money coming in and can easily manipulate this woman with it. What if they have a fight? What if he withholds her care and neglects her needs? I am very worried for this woman. I help care for my grandfather who recently lost his ability to walk and everyone in the family helps out and even so we are In the process of getting him a nurse. It's a lot and we all work. What about if he snaps / leaves her and doesnt continue the care? All reasons why she should have a nurse!
