I personally believe in what Alan Roger Currie calls his "Mode One" philosophy, the idea that you should be direct and straightforward honest with women about your interest and intentions. According to Alan, one of the main motivations for using this approach is to get rid of manipulative timewasters-type of women, if you don't make your intentions clear you open the possibility for women to manipulate you and exploit you (use you for free attention, free meals, validation, being entertained, etc)

But I also understand that being this way, you are going to trigger a lot of women's "ASD" and that's why you have to give the woman some plausible deniability.

The thing is, I've had contradictory experiences, I had one recently with a 26 year old (I'm 21) and I still don't know what to make of it. The girl put me in the spot about my intentions, this was a few days after we met and we made out on my car. (Translated, this was originally in Spanish)

..

Her: I want to ask you something

Me: Go ahead

Her: I'm going to be a pain the ass haha jk 😛 you know I think we're both walking different paths but first answer me, are you just looking for a fun time, I mean sex? I imagine 🤔

Her: I want you to be very honest with me

Me: Hey I' am at a concert and yes, just sex.

Her: Well the truth is I really like you but I'm not really looking for that anymore at this moment, but here you have a good friend anytime you need it, I don't know what else to say haha.

Me: Oh, I'm not interested in being friends, unless it is with benefits lol.

Her: so it's over, it's okay, it was a pleasure to meet you.

I know you guys are thinking it was a shit test and that I went full autistic here but I have a very strong personal belief that if they put you in the spot like that, answering anything other than "yes" will make you look like a pussy and would probably put me in the "boyfriend category". Well she sent me a message 2 weeks later and here's how it unfolded.

Her: Hi 🙂

Me: Hey what's up

Her: you look very good in your picture😌

Me: Thank you

Her: You're welcome 😌

Didn't respond to her anymore, then 5 days go by and she talks to me again.

Her: Hi 🙂

Me: Hey

Her: (How are you, bla bla bla, starts to talk to me about her homework and other bullshit...)

Me: Hey I thought we weren't supposed to talk anymore?

Her: Is that what we agreed to? Does it bother you?

Me: I want to know why are you still talking to me haha.

Her: Well what's the problem with it, and I talk to you because you're a temptation haha, does it bother you?

Me: well you were very clear the other day.

Her: At that moment

Me: so?

Her: So I changed my mind and I want to practice rough sex, do you like the idea or not?

Me: Oh I see. No, I'm not interested anymore, thanks.

Her: Ok, too bad. (Proceeds to unfriend me from fb)

I'm almost 100% sure that if I had not been direct I would've lost my frame, and I made it a point to reject this girl because I honestly was upset at the way she tried to trap me into the boyfriend category.

The thing is, I've had many more experiences like this that make me question the validity of plausible deniability, but I can't identify if this depends on the level of attraction the girl has for you or just on the type of girl?

How do you know when to give plausible deniability and when to be direct and stand your ground?
