You can’t rationally make yourself irrationally self-confident.... Be very good at SOMETHING, whether that be gym, your work, your passion, etc. Your confidence will rise naturally the better you are at that skill

after having been bullied for years, middle of grade 11 i began playing american football and gymming a lot. got into a pretty good shape and all that. even though i have stopped playing a long time ago, i still kind of have this irrational confidence. the reason why it didn’t go away is that i saw what i was capable of and i always remind that to myself

I just faked it till I made it. Faking the confidence at first led to me getting laid quite a bit, now because of that I have real self confidence.

Also, lifting helps alot with this.

There is no such thing as irrational self-confidence.

I used to try all sorts of techniques like this.

Yes, you can put up a front, but it will only be temporary. Your true self always shines through.

Your best self is your “natural” self. You want to have godly confidence that is natural/subconscious and not made through “conscious” thought.

If you try to act irrationally self confident (consciously), but you’re a little bitch inside (those bad subconscious thought patterns), then you will become socially awkward (as I have). Because the natural self cannot be hidden.

Buy DejaRu22s Terminate and listen all the time. Certainly worked for me, went from improved but still socially anxious loser to being a fucking machine. I feel like I can do anything. Don’t listen to the naysayers, it is entirely possible. Best $50 I’ve spent all my life

Its really upto the individual. Its true what they say that tell yourself a lie long enough you and everyone around you will start to believe it.

The issue is that the older you get the harder it is due to cognitive dissonance. All the top players didn't have confidence in their first games they just pushed away that thought and kept persisting.

My point being that while convincing yourself is hard via positive bullshit it's much easier first to push away negative thoughts in the 1st place
