As long as it’s in the context of you just popping in to drop a quick pic of you doing something fun/interesting and saying a quick hello and not “I miss/need you” or something of a similar needy vibe, it’s fine.

I’m military and deployed regularly (including right now) and it’s always good to keep a little contact with the ones that are worth “keeping around”. I’ll send a picture of me flying (I’m a pilot) or a suggestive meme every now and then to a select few and if they respond, exchange a few quick light, fun messages.

Most usually respond with some expression of missing me and being sad that I’m gone. I usually hint at the same without saying it directly and joke about defending their freedom or something humorous and then move on.

Many of them occasionally send nudes for entertainment. I never reciprocate, but I do mention how I’m going to reacquaint them with my dick once I get back.

If they ever don’t respond, I move on. Most will contact me at least once to see if/when I’m back at some point.

This has worked well for me. Well enough that I’ve never gone more than a week without getting laid once I’m back. I’m usually able to reconnect with at least two within the first couple of weeks and get some sort of rotation going again without much effort.

The key is to keep it light and infrequent and not be needy. You’re overseas living your life, after all.

Don't try to maintain any kind of LDR, just keep her number as a free booty call. It's always nice to have those on hand when you're coming back.

You can keep them on the roster but don't put them too high up. Before covid I would travel overseas once a month. I have homes all over the world. Asia, Europe, and north america. I am American. But I have girls everywhere. You do whatever the fuck you want to do, everyone has a different expectation and rule for how to live their life and frame. But do not develop oneitis and always anticipate she is fucking someone else. I had somewhat of an ldr/ltr type deal with a lady I saw every couple weeks in Europe. She lasted the longest out of my plates (im always adding and subtracting). She started off as a mistress when i was married. Keep communications light is my advice and make sure you have an abundance.

You can't spin plates over the internet though. Think of them as contacts to revisit later.

It depends on if you are the area a lot, I travel to the same fives towns a few times a month for work, I have a plate or two in each one. The sad thing is that a few of them know when I text that I will be in town the next day or two.

But, if you are going to be in the area only a few times a few you might have better luck just using tinder or the like when you get there.
